    Spoilers!

Information about Pokemon Black and White 2 has been revealed and the upcoming games will have at least 2 new Gym Leaders and see the return of some previous Pokemon in the game.

This thread is to discuss how you think elements of these upcoming games will be featured in the Anime. So anytime we receive new news about Black and White 2, we can talk about them regarding the Anime here.

It has already been revealed that one of the new Gym Leaders will soon feature in the Anime.

Are these games a ticket to Ash's next saga after the Unova League, based on Black and White? Will the new areas in Unova be Iris and Cilan's last journey with Ash, they were said to be staying for more than one region but does the addition to Unova count as another?

My thoughts when saw and heard of this was well it actually gives him a good reason to lose for once. That way he can build his team up and make an even stronger push a second time around with a much more developed team and him being less of a noob. Or I get the feeling Team Plasma may interfere with the Conference causing them to cancel it, until a later date.

I really don't hope Cilan and Iris leave the group so early. I always thought they had good chemistry as a group. Adding Homika too the group seems possible, just hope it doesn't cause say Iris to leave.

I'm actually really concerned about how they will tie this game in with the anime, if at all. It's set two years after the first game and new gym leaders are already taking places and who's still around is all one big mystery. I would love them to, like Kenshin5 said, and have Plasma interrupt the conference or something. But how do they explain the new gym leaders and new scientist/professor? I hope they careful formulate how to go about this and seeing what they've done so far with the series, I think they can pull it off well.

If they're getting new gym leaders/professors then I reckon the old one will move to a new region and invite Ash to come along and check it out....

Homika is going to appear in the anime in June. So the original Unova saga is coming to a close by then considering Ash is about to meet Brycen. I'm wondering what will happen to everyone since B2W2 (the games) is 2 years later, but it's still in Unova. So it would be hard to do as opposed they did with the Kanto Saga (RGBY) transitioning into the Johto Saga (GSC, which takes place three years later). The reason for this was that they both took place in different regions so there was no need to fastfoward.

Well they kinda set up for this in the Indigo League. If you remember Gary had 10 Badges, which would acknowledge that, in the Anime at least, there can be more Gym Leaders than the 8 we see Ash battle. The only other thing I can see is, as said, Team Plasma does something that causes the League to be canceled until a later date so Ash travels Unova again to get even stronger and there will be events that cause some of the original Gym Leaders to not be around. That or they'll finish Unova and go on to a filler series like Orange League or Battle Frontier.

After seeing today on Pokemon Smash that when Homiko appears in the anime, she'll have a Koffing, I'm definitely excited to see her in the anime! I mean, a non-Unova Pokemon in the Unova anime? YES!!! It makes me wonder if Shizui will also appear in the anime, and if non-Unova Pokemon will start playing major roles in the Unova anime, as well. Ohhh, speculation!

Considering we're going to definitely see Brycen in BW080, and Ash eventually battles and defeats him in a later episode. That's 7 badges, then we've got Homika, who Ash appears to be about to battle in that preview. Eh, does this completely rule out the countless speculation on a possible gym battle between Ash and Iris or Drayden. I love how this was probably an easy way out of making a decision out of Iris or Drayden plus advertisment for the games. It's probably quite very necessary too - I mean, I wouldn't expect much of a full new adventure for B2/W2, it's just - their held in the same region, there wouldn't be much point in Ash going through the region again so soon after. Plus we could easily see this 8th Gym match around this rumoured June release date of B2/W2. It all fits into place nicely.

Does this mean no N? /cries in corner.

Juniper(Aurea) could move to a new region with studying the Origins on pokemon, or too Sinnoh studying what she can on Arceus. Only time will tell the role that will be played to get Ash to travel to the next or former region.

Considering that they characters don't even age in the anime it may not even matter if there is a 2 year difference. Since as we know Anime doesn't always flow with the games.

I can also see them show more then 8 badges within the game go around as well, so it may work for both. On top of that there was the water gym Misty battled toward the end of Johto Saga. I can see the interuption being plausible and then Team Plasma actually playing more of a role the next go around, but still I would feel better if they show up already.

Besides Pikachu and Meowth xD. I don't see why they wouldn't show Shizui. They may just be showing Homiko now to market BW2 as soon as they can. I'm hoping some non Unova pokemon play some roles after we went through most of the Unova pokes in the current arc. Hopefully we get to see some of Ash other pokes especially Gible.

I found this little gem.

Now I'm super excited to see what her deal is in the anime. Is she a gym leader or just a character of the day?
She is the Poison Gym Leader.

Depends, have we seen all the slots in Ash badge case? Since all the badges fit into the mold show thus far, if they means anything which I assume it would. I know I'd rather have this as a post main arc for a future gen and have them revisit them on a later time, but apparently they are trying to be innovated with gaming stuff lately which may translate over to anime.

Best logic I've seen so far and what's most likely going to happen. It means that all this had been planned out since BW1. Making Iris the female companion they already had a plan for the 8th Gym. The writers are so smart.
