Guys, after looking around I have figured out what DNS Control is. For example: If I buy a domain for my site like www.pokedrome.net or whatever, instead of just redirecting it to my site?s original domain, I can also make all the links appear to that domain or something like that. Am I correct? Now can?t this be done to Freebie domains, like www.pokedrome.cjb.net, www.pokedrome.tk, www.pokedrome.4t.com or whatever.

I tried but my Cpanel gives me a error message saying it?s not possible. Any idea?

    huh?

what are you wanting to do? that didn't make a lot of sense..

Ya, I believe that DNS would give you the ability to do that. Free domains/subdomains aren't like that, and [at least the ones I've seen] don't include that feature.

Bad luck, I have a lot of freebie domains for my site like pokedrome.tk, pokedrome.cjb.net, pokedrome.eu.tt,etc.

i believe you can set your cjb.net to the cpanel shared ip. its on yout cpanel homepage. t4 and tk's dont support dns (paid TK does)

Uni.cc is free and allows you to use DNS stuff, but it depends on the host whether they support it or not.

Well, I have clicked on "Parked Domains" option in my Cpanel and tried but it says CJB is not a valid one or something.

    Thanks Kip-Kip. I'll get uni.cc

I need some help here. When I click my Parked Domains Link in my Cpanel and Type pokedrome.cjb.net , pokedrome.uni.cc - it gives me a error saying

"Cannot determine nameserver ip for pokedrome.uni.cc. Please make sure that it is registered with a valid domain name register.", the exact words.

Why won't it accept them. Aren't they valid sub-domains. Or perhaps only pure domains like .com, .net, etc are accepted as parked domains.

Can someone do me a small favour, can you just create a subdomain out of your site. Let it be anything. I'll just see if it works or not and then I'll delete it. Can anyone do this help for me.

uni.cc dont support DNS anymore :\

The freebie domains are redirects - you don't own them and don't control the DNS - and new uni.cc domains won't have DNS because they couldn't upgrade their stuff, only the old ones still do. But they're hoping to bring it back in the future~

I'd just buy a domain. Yahoo! has them for only $5. ^_~
I'd wouldn't reccomend you buy ANYTHING especially a domain from yahoo.

The reason it's not working is that ur cpanel server's DNS is looking for an set-up name server on the (sub)domain, since subdomains are handled locally buy the server they are on, they can't be a 'stand alone' domain name. and added to parked or addon domains.

also as stated above most are only normal and/or framed redirects to your existing domain(s) and there is not additional dns for your cpanel server to see.
