do you pick up your dog’s poop when walking

If I had a dog I would. I get around most places by walking and there's nothing grosser than coming across a pile of crap, especially if there are flies hovering around it that could possibly end up touching you. Most dog owners wouldn't be so carefree about their dogs pooping around their own home so they should pay other people and places the same respect.

If I had a dog, I probably wouldn't. This is one of the many reasons why I do not have a dog.

people who don't pick up their dog's shit when it shits on someone else's property don't deserve rights

If it's on the street or near someone's home, yes I pick it up almost instantly

If it's in a public part (which is 99% of the time really) then no, with the exception that my dog dumps it on the concrete, then I do pick it up.

Yes. It's really not that gross. Don't get why people are so adverse to it. Honestly, I dislike cleaning the litterboxes way more than I dislike picking up dog poop. At least dog poop doesn't reek of pure death, decay, and hatred.

Ive trained my dog not to poo when she has a lead on only in my garden, she's a big dog so her poos are like human poos wouldn't leave that lieing around

Of course I do! It's super rude, not to mention unsanitary, to leave your dog's waste in the middle of high traffic areas. I don't care if your dog poops in the woods and you don't clean it, that's whatever other animals poop all the time in the woods — but if you live in a neighborhood or a condo, you better be doing your part as a responsible pet owner. :/

I live on what used to be a farm so my dog has free range and goes wherever, there's enough space that I don't encounter her poop.

I don't own a dog (in the future, I'll get one) but I do work at a doggy daycare so I always make a habit on picking up the dog's poop by carrying a few bags of poop bags everytime I take them for walks. It's respectfully to clean up something so foul just because a) it makes the neighbourhood cleaner and b) it prevents people and dogs from accidentally stepping on it.

When we had a dog, yes, it's only proper plus where I used to live there was a bylaw, and the landlord would evict you if the manager caught you not picking up.
I just pick it up with the bag then turn the bag inside out and close it, easy.

And being honest if your apartment complex has dog turds everywhere it'll make it look like a bad place to live, so I could see why it was against the rules. Here most aparts don't even allow dogs.

With my previous dogs (and with my new one), it actually would depend on where they do their business. If it's in my yard, probably not since no one regularly plays it in anyway and it's good for the grass. If it's down the street or something, I will. Don't want to risk anyone stepping it in.

When our old mutt would still go on walks around the neighborhood of course we pick up their poop as we are not degenerates. It's extremely rude to leave dog poop in someone else's yard. I just realized our back yard probably has a lot of turds but oh well. Not like anybody walks around in it but the dog.
