Friendships, happiness, careers, relationships - can any of it really last forever? Not just those things, but anything in life, do you believe it's possible for anything to last forever, no matter what, or is that just a idea invented by society to play along with the "happy ending", that most people like to believe is true? Even if people are determined to maintain something for the rest of their lives and beyond, will it always last? Then again, is it really up to human beings to decide what can last forever and what can't? Such as oxygen, it may not last forever, as well as sunshine. While we may not have control in that, something such as friendships, is it possible for those to last forever, and continue beyond the grave - or can they only last as long as you live, and not forever? I hope I made sense. D:

I believe that some things are able to last forever, even when you're gone, such as the memories of you that others share. There are also other things that I think can last forever, such as the value of mateship, which will always be prevalent in society, thus lasting forever.

Well forever is a long time.

However I believe things can last for quite a lengthy period of time you just have to realise that things change.
Relationships between lovers and family and friends change over time and people change and sometimes they drift apart but sometimes they don't and I think it's mostly they people who aren't willing to deal with change are the ones who will cut ties. Snip snip.

I wouldn't say anything lasts forever though because really if you're dead you're dead. If the sun explodes then there's no sunshine, atleast not in our little galaxy, and if the universe collapses in on itself then there's no sun anywhere.

I dunno, man. Nothing lasts forever but it can last for a very long time if you put the effort in?

The memories you had with others, the friendship that you gained during your life, the achievements you had done... Those are what would last 'forever', even after you hit the dirt. Hopefully, your memory would be passed down from father to son, mother to daughter, vice versa.

Nothing can really last forever. Sometimes, stuff like this fade away... but that doesn't mean that it's going to go away the moment you'll passed away. I hope that made sense.

The only thing I can say, for sure, and what matters, is a persons intellect.
    It lasts forever.

    Memories and emotions fade away...
    Unless you took pictures.

Forever? Is it possible for something to last that long?

Today, nothing ever seems to last forever. You can be happy now, but one traumatic event can change your feelings of emotion. You can love someone today as a friend or more, but the next day you can turn out hating one another. As for careers, you can stick with one for a long time, but eventually you'll move on from it making that lasting chain break. I've learned that things can last a lifetime, but not forever. Your memories, everything, can escape from you in a blink of an eye, and you never thought you'd miss it until it was finally gone.

I've always said that I'm a happy person, and I forever will be, but there are times that get me down like anyone else. It's taught me that things can last a long while, but not forever because you can be remembered now and be forgotten just as easily, like many people before us. It's a sad thing, but truthfully ... it's reality.

Including the title, I believe "Forever" was used about ten times. xD

From my religious perspective, the soul lasts forever(in torture or bliss). ;D

Anyway, to answer your question, nothing in this world(except for spiritual things) is forever, everything is finite, everything has an end. Entropy makes sure that nothing lasts forever. Energy will, sooner or later, die a horrible heat death. Matter on the other hand, will be ripped apart if the Big Rip theory holds true. Love dies along with the lovers. Knowledge dissipates along with the brain. Records rot, and soil erodes.

    Nothing is infinite.
    Bleak I know

some things in my life have never lasted 'forever' i always mess up in a way and it makes me upset and sometimes i think to my self 'I wish i could go back in time to change what i did wrong'.

I'm not so sure about memories lasting forever. The only reason why I say that is because I'm not sure if people really do live on after they die. In that case I don't think anything can go on forever except time. Time is something that is always happening no matter how slow.

The legacy you leave behind, people will always remember you for what you were, how many people varies, but your friends and family will remember you.
Hell, if you've left behind one hell of a legacy, like someone like Martin Luther King, you'll be remembered forever.

The history of this world will last for ever as long as people preserve it. But the thing is love cant last forever because the minute both are dead it ends there unless it was something epic written down in history.

Memories don't last forever. Just ask my grandmother with Alzheimer's.

I understand that nothing lasts forever, but part of me can't fully believe it. Accepting that nothing lasts forever means accepting my own mortality so of course I want to believe things, any things, last. And last. And last.

Rocks last for ever, even if you crush it, cuz then the dust remains, and you just can't get rid of dust no matter how hard you clean.

Possibly the impact you have on people. But other than that, nothing that I can think of

I am one of those fools who thinks that love can stand the tests of time and go on forever.

If you've ever read any of my poems, you would know my answer...

...but I'll anwer anyway. NO. Nothing in life lasts, whether it be a good thing or a bad thing. Why? Because it just doesn't. That's it.

The can last forever. Not everyone develops Alzheimer's.

The love of your parents last forever. >: Even if they die before you, you still feel and remember the love they had for you.

Well I believe in an afterlife so yes I believe in forever.
So, yes you may think I am a fool.. but I believe in love that lasts forever as well. It may seem impossible , but I don't believe it is.
