    What do you think Digimon is?
    A) A cheap rip-off of Pokemon
    B) A fun TV show
    C) Somewhere in between
    D) What's Digimon?
    E) Based on Pokemon but not quite a rip-off
    F) It has nothing to do with Pokemon!
    G) TOTAL RIP-OFF!!! *alarm bell*
    H) Not based on Pokemon but not a very good TV show...
    I) A great and wonderful TV show. Pokemon is the one who's the rip-off.
     
    I'll go for "b" scince most of thr time is alot more funny than pokemon, and the battles are better.

    BTW: Digimon Was made before pokemon.
     
    I think it's E..not quite ripped off but not an independent idea.
     
    You have 2 threads like this,just in different sections.

    You should make this thread with the option to vote.

    It is a rip-off of pokemon,and worst of all,they just won't give up.

    What happened to originality?

    It's a rip-off. It even has a MON in the name. And the Digimon have stupi names. Kazemon. Beetlemon.

    Okay.
    Pokemon was the original. Not the TV show, but the game. Soon Digimon will probably have a DigiTrainer game. With different versions. Same thing as Pokemon, different names.
    I didn't mean to make another thread!
    I thought the other one was never made...
     
    We can cut Digimon some slack, but it's still a plain rip-off no matter how much we forgive it.
     
    Um,Digimon already did that,just no on any official machine,like the GBA.
    But It was on PS,the digimon games were good games,I just don't like the
    anime because it seems to close to pokemon.

    The Pokemon anime came out first in America.Just wanted to clear that up.

    Digimon had little tomogatchi(sp?)-like things out,in different colors and
    s***.
     
    The Pokemon anime came out first in America.I can't speak for Japan.
    The digimon anime aired on Foxkids.It was in 99-00.

    Digimon is suspiciously like Pokemon because....
    1. They both end in "mon".
    2. Digimon are partners in battle, too much like Pokemon.
     
    Digimon season 1 was horrible.Season 2 was a little better,but still bad.Season 3 was
    the best out of all of them,IMO.Season 4 was as bad as Season 1.

    My mom used to laugh at the Digimon season 1 & 2 opening.

    Ok, how do you know that Pokemon is not the one copying?

    Will Digimon, one day, put up posters and/or flyers saying Pokemon is a stupid rip-off?
     
    Because pokemon is more successful.Any more questions?

    Neither faction has bashed,insulted,or flamed the other.They just go about
    their own business.
     
    Yeah, how would you like to have an idea then somebody else copying it and becoming successful with it, and then you finaly bring your work up and people thing you are the one coping the idea?
