    Heh, this is a topic that has had alot of debation and popularity at other Forums. I hope alot of people take part in their opinion here, cause i want to prove just how many people do love Misty as a character, and belive in her return. Do you think the red head will end up coming back for good? Wether its after AG or whenever. I strongly belive that she will return for good, i have a couple of points towards why she will ^___^

    Okay, this is probaly going to sound corny.... *sweatdrops*

    Misty has been with Ash and Brock for 5 seasons. AG is probably only one season without her. She has too many fans, plus a lot of Pokeshippers still that the writers won`t leave her in Cerulean City. It is a most likely the same with Brock. Orange season was without him, but later he returned. IMO i think May and Max will stay in Houen and Misty will come back *Yippee!*

    The Pokeshipping subplot is NOT resolved. Misty likes Ash - she's liked him ever since the Orange Islands - and it's clear to see from the HoSo specials that the writers haven't forgotten this. Misty's feelings are a dangling plot. Neither have we found out if Ash feels the same, if he hopefully does, then they can't just drop AAML dead.
    She's not finished with Ash just yet ;)

    Writing Misty out of the series and then pretending her crush never existed is not resolving anything, it's just terribly bad writing >< *Growls* Which is why I belive that the writers are not going to let the crush disappear without a trace. We all know that 4kids the dubbers are Pokeshippers at heart, they have put enough hints of their own in!

    And also there is the psyduck thing (Which could be considered a AAML hint)in the 3rd Misty HoSo. I have a attachment here to show. She's not gone for good, you can see that they have not finished with her relationship between her and Ash, neither the rest of her storyline. She'll be back, mark my words :) (And remember Ash promised her himself)

    I don't know what the animators are thinking...I sort of believe that if they cared about us in the first place they wouldn't have ever gotten rid of Misty, but they went against the huge Misty fanbase and replaced her with *shudder* May...the two episodes with Misty in AG were nice, but of course they were insufficient for all the fans who miss Misty, so I don't know what they're planning. I just hope they don't draw AG out like they did Johto...three seasons without Misty would be a nightmare. But where would they go after AG's over? Would they return to Kanto or to Orre or have another made-up league like the Orange Islands? It's too late to advertise FRLG through a season since it's been out in Japan for so long now, but I think AG might end just as the 4th generation may be coming out in Japan, which might take them to a totally different place. As I said, I don't know what they have in store, and they haven't confirmed or denied that she will ever return. It's uncertain at this point...I think we'll have to wait for AG to come to a close before we can make a guess. But, if she ever does come back, she just better not have the clothes she had on in her two AG episodes...blech.
     
    As much as I hate Misty's character, I'm pretty sure that the writers will include her in the season that follows the 4th gen gyms/league.

    I remember how much funnier the movies/shows were with Misty. NOw they aren't all that funny with may and max. They need to get rid of may and max at the end of pokemon advance and bring misty back.
     
    Max and May make the show horrible. Eww, to many inexperienced n00bs. I am postive Misty will return for good. They have to bring her back, she is a main character. Maybe the next group will be Ash/ Max/ Misty/ Brock. Hopefully May goes somewhere. I do not like her. I liked Misty though, she was pretty cool.

    what's with all the may hate?

    she's what made the hoenn series so refreshing and better than the horrbile former season, namely the johto ones.

    misty was very funny and exciting to see in kanto, but in johto, almost all she did was just follow ash around in the background and not have much to do (except the whirlpool cup). she didn't serve much purpose and got boring, so th writers decided to kick her out.

    sorry misty fans, i really loved misty in the kanto series, but misty has gotten really boring in johto. may is more than a supporting character in hoenn, she's almost a co-star of ash's. (the season 7 theme song in japan features ash, but gives a lot of spotlight on may as well, max and brock only has one shot to themselves)
     
    May is annoying to me, the way she is making the show downgrade back to the early days. We get the fact May is new like Ash used to be, and she has to learn thisstuff, but it's not fair we have to, AGAIN! I want her to go off on her own journey and only appear sometimes, like Gary.

    I think Misty will not return to the group but i do think she will have cameo's like in pokemon specials.

    And what's with the May and max haters. do remember that they are VERY popular in Japan.
    And they make the show really refreshing.

    and I think she might return but leave 1 or 2 episodes later. She will not have a complete return otherwise she would have stayed in Hoenn when she already visited it and met may, max, brock and ash.

    Even if they are popular in Japan, I think the Japanese animators and scriptwriters keep an eye on what goes on in America. They brought Brock back for us right? I thought they got rid of him in the first place because they thought we hated him, and then they brought him back because they found out that we actually loved him...I actually wouldn't mind having a season with Misty AND May in Ash's group. I hope that the animators will eventually compromise with both fanbases and give us both of them at once. They can always get rid of Max, he's not important =/
     
    Oh gawd, I dunno.. =P I don't hate Misty that much anymore, but I dislike her personality. I DO believe she's going to return, but that doesn't mean I like her. I really like May better, she's so nice ^^

    Kasumi should come back and replace him, keep May though. I like the idea of one of the characters from the game to be in the show! Even if she acts sad...
    Kasumi does come back. for 2 episodes...then she goes again. She better stay though, I want her to stay!
    Kasumi was funny, max is a freak....lol, We need Kasumi Back in the anime!

    1.Misty really should come back!!! I'm thinking Lilycobe would be a great place to bring her back!!! Think about it, Lilycove's contest is a MASTER contest, which means it could be her last place.


    2.Get rid of Brock and replace him with Misty!!! Brock does not even do anything except cook. He hasn't caught a pokemon in a while! He should leave the group!!!

    I think that Misty's role is going to be a lot like Gary's now: only in special episodes. I also don't see why May gets so much hate. She's a decently nice person. :\
     
    Yeah, she is. Actually, I agree with Kaga on this on. Compromise, cut Max from the picture, and bring back Misty! Think of some of the funnier scenes that could be done with both Pokeshipping and Advanceshipping hints. Ash would remain clueless. Besides, such a cool character shouldn't remain mothballed. It sickens me to see how little of Gary we have anymore, even just hints at his existence. And furhtermore, she deserves to be brought back just for the "Misty moments." My plan would be that eventually, Ash rechallenges the Indigo League and Misty rejoins him, May, and Brock. It'd be awesome, methinks.

    And Autmn Phoenix...If I EVER hear you say anything like that about Brock again I'll hunt you down and beat you with my Brock plushies. Actually not, you can have your own opinion, but Brock does more that cook, he fills the role of Older Male in Ahs's life, something that the kid needs. He's a mother, father, mentor, and brother to Ash, and has a valuable role on the show.
