Doctor Who

Okay, so the new special is on tomorrow. From the trailers I've seen, it looks absolutely amazing.

But I noticed something about the title:

The Waters of Mars = The Masters of Wars.

Coincidence?
Well....
[simple-spoil=Doctor Who]

Anyway, this thread is basically a speculation and discussion thread about the best Sci-Fi series ever. Right now I'd say that the topic of The Master is a good one to discuss.

Series is next year, and as for the spoiler, yippee!

But, focussing on the Waters of Mars, it looks good. Hope it is, as I was slightly... Not disappointed, but something was lacking from the last series (despire having the Daleks, and the Cybermen in the Christmas Special)

Ad don't read unless you read the 1st post spoiler:

Oh I'm excited... sorta...

And well already knew about the 'spoilers'.

@ Deviation: I must've skipped that part. Epic.

No, this isn't the start of a new series. The new series with Matt Smith starts next year. The Waters of Mars is a special, same with The New Doctor, The Planet of The Dead and the Christmas Special(s).

According to the Official Website, we have Series 1 (Chris), Series 2 (David), Series 3 (David), Series 4 (David), Series 5 (Matt) and then Series 0, which is all of the specials.

Why must they be cruel and put it on Sunday? Stupid Strictly Come Dancing. D:<

Edit: @ ahaha: Yeah, it was pretty obvious.
Hooray for 'Who themes. :P

When David Tennant was on The Graham Norton show he kinda leaked that he may play alongside the eleventh doctor.

Well, that would be epic, but unlikely. It would be hard seeing hi in Doctor Who as anyone else but The Doctor, and it would cause one of his paradoxes. xD

...Or, they may do what they did in the original series, where the Doctor meets his previous forms and has to take out some enemy... was it the Zygons?

Anyway, if they did do that, I would think that it'd be quit e a task to pull off. They'd need lotsa makeup. :3

Back at the Waters discussion;

Wonder if the Doctor'll have one of his big scientific moments explaining what's bad about the water.

So did all of us.

Buuut, he might've faked his death. But then, he was burned...

Hmm... Maybe he put his life in the ring like the fob watch? Then someone (probably Lucy, who probably only shot him to make The Doctor think he was dead and free him from being imprisoned in then TARDIS) picked up the ring and then 'released' him.

I dunno.

Aaanyway, this is becoming ore of a general Doctor Who thread. I'll ask a mod to rename it.

Something about that ring, as when you saw that woman pick it up, you could hear him laughing... If it isn't, then that is pointless.

And also, the Master has survived worse before, in the old series (3rd and 4th Doctor, for example, where he actually fused with someone, and they became his host).

Well, it will be revealed in 1 month, 11 days, and about 2 hours 57 minutes, if it begins at 7pm in the UK.

Anywho, he survived... I wonder if he is the one who will cause the regeneration of the Doctor... He is said to be worse, so could be.

To be honest i've only seen the one advertisement and it was on the end of the Christmas Ep XD
But my friend says it will be pretty epic =D

Does anyone know who Teh Mastuh will be? =/

You guys remember at the end of The Planet of the Dead?

Carmen said that 'he will knock four times'. Who?

It's a 'him', so I guess the Master lost his doorbell. xD

Edit: @Edam: The trailer at Christmas? You mean Easter. John Simm is still the Master, just like in Series 3 with Martha.

B'yeah, it seems pretty damned epic.

So it's on tomorrow? There's something I must ask... WHY SUNDAY? Dr. Who is Saturday Night material!

Asides from that, I'm excited for this episode. Even the teaser that I saw on TV that mentioned 'The beginning... of the end...' sent chills and got me even more hyped up.

Something tells me the wait till Christmas will feel longer because of this ><

david should not leave.hes a great doctor,i think the best yet

ikr?

I think it's on Sunday to a) keep up the suspense and b) because Strictly Come Dancing is on at 6:30 - 7:00 and then Strictly Come Dancing is on afterwards or something along those lines. Stupid magic and dancing, though. D:<

@ benthekid: I kind of agree with you, but if this Matt Smith guy can do it right, then you won't miss much. In was unsure of David back in '05, and then from New Earth onwards I loved him. We'll just have to wait and see.
Anyway, he's getting an epic three-parter story for his regeneration, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Edit: Dayam. 2005!

Nada.. wait oh /facepalm
My bad D;
I just only remembered the snowwing and i thought that it was related to christmas ;;
Meh, my bad XD

Good, i like John Simm, he's a legend.

john simm should the next doctor,not that stupid other one.but i guess it would muck up the plot a bit with him being the master as well!

Nada, i think that the next guy will be alright, all of the others were good.
He can't be that bad.
