I'd have to wait for a tornado threat to find out that one. The imagine that grates my mind however is not that of DJs and radio hosts warning the general public, but rather packing up their own equipment so they can hightail it out of there A.S.A.P! Myesh. Like there's a time to speak and a time to keep quiet, there's a time to broadcast and a time to stfu and gtfo.

Indeed, and this is why I love my society.

I thought ALL radio stations were required by law to use the EAS to broadcast alerts for tornado warnings and such.

Considering my city hasnt had a cyclone since...My grandparents were kids. I don't think it'd be nessacary. But they'd probably have it on all news everywhere..so we'd be prepared anyway.

Nope, the radio station I listen to doesnt send out real warnings I think... plus tornadoes dont really occur around where I live. The most likely thing to happen would be tsunami or volcanoes...

Since I'm in an area that's subject to northeasters and hurricanes, the system is used for that. We very rarely get tornadoes, although they do happen but usually cause very little damage if any.
