    Hi,

    I have a website hosted by freewebs, may I buy a Domain from another site not freewebs and use it for my freewebs site?

    Also If I had a domain could I use the same domain for the forums and a home site?

    Yes,you can buy a domain from another domain registrar,and you can use it on freewebs. But from what people tell me,they say you have to pay to transfer the domain. I don't know if you do,because I've never done it before.
     
    Okay I would need a new Domain for the forums then, if I used the Domain for the freewebs site and then I made a new site say with another host could I then change the Domain over to the new site?
     
    Yes, and you should probably do that anyway, there's no point wasting a domain on a Freewebs site. That way you could also host your forum on the same host.
     
    My freewebs site isn't a waste, its a HTML one not a easy builder one. And I cannot host my forum with the same up because it is a free one with ForumUp.
     
    If your site is an HTML one then you should get off Freewebs and onto a better host that offers more.
     
    I am okay with freewebs for now, I have only been making HTML sites for a couple of weeks.

    What I mean is, if I bought a domain for my site hosted by freewebs, and in the future made a new sit hosted by another company, could I transfer the domain from freewebs to the new host?
     
    No, all you need to do is change the nameservers.
