I saw the new episode and ash left Gliscor with air battle master
To train and the new pokemon could be Gible

Lame and predictable. Hopefully it doesn't disappear forever like Pidgeot.

Now that I've seen the episode:

-So he sends out Gliscor randomly, we know the episode is focusing on it.
-Glion's out for a prolonged amount of time; really, writers, can you be any more obvious?
-Oh, Scizor, how I despise thee.
    -A Chimecho? lol, WAT
    -So they fight, of course.
-Poor Gliscor, getting owned like that.
-Typical, they make it out to be weak so the fan dumb will be happy that it left.
-lol, Team Rocket and their horrible timing.
-At least it's diligent and wants to train.
-I officially hate Staraptor now. FFS, I hate his entire team now, with the exception of Pikachu. You can feed me a bunch of BS that the elemental triangle needed to be upheld, but the rest of his Pokemon are downright worthless in comparison. Gliscor's got more personality than the rest of them combined (Buizel gives it competition, but Buizel's personality is annoying, while Gliscor's...only used to be, and that's when it was a Gligar.) Why couldn't they have gone? I mean, Grotle is pretty much a fat sack of crap that's become nothing but dead weight to him. Monferno's overrated as hell and has pretty much proved its point by now. :|
-Another battle. He sure is a sucker for punishment.
-Huzzah, some confidence! Albeit, a bit too late now...
-Giga Impact...am I supposed to cheer? The move is terrible, lmao. You couldn't have taught it Night Slash or something, writers?
    -It...still lost. Wow. Fail.
-What a greedy old man, taking Gliscor away from him. >:V
    -See, even Team Rocket's crying.
-Oh wow, a trip down memory lane. What a tear-jerker.
-And...it's gone. It had BETTER come back. >:V

    Spoiler:

$5 says the Gible he catches has the personality of a wet towel and becomes a total freakin' Wesley. Hogs the camera and does nothing but annoy the viewers, but the cast love him to pieces. (I'd bet more, but I don't have the fake money to do so. ^_^)

Well, there goes my absolute favorite freakin' Pokemon. Just when I thought they had done the ultimate evil by releasing Ambipom, this happens. This didn't need to and shouldn't have happened, but it did. Expect me to show that little runt no freakin' mercy (unless it's actually interesting, which I honestly cannot see happening; what cool Pokemon actually had personality? Charizard? Don't make me laugh.).

I honestly don't get why it had to be Gliscor of all of Ash's Pokemon. He had it in his team for the least amount of time, and it did the most out of all of Ash's Pokemon in terms of character development. It had a rivalry with not only Paul's Torterra, but a slight one in his own Gliscor as well, and had more opportunity for writing gold than any of Ash's other Pokemon barring Monferno randomly evolving again (God forbid we get more fan dumb BS).

-Pikachu vs. Electivire? We all know how that would turn out; it's happened before, after all.
-Grotle vs. Honchkrow? Grotle's downright sleep-inducing these days.
-Monferno evolving? Sure, it'd be exciting for all of two minutes, much like it was when it evolved from Chimchar.
-Buizel learning Ice Punch? Wait, he still has Buizel? I didn't know that; he hasn't seriously used the damn thing since he fought Byron and it got ridiculously owned because it had been a camera ***** at the time, and has since faded completely from our minds.
-Staraptor...doing something? I mean, Staraptor's pretty cool and all, but it has no personality since it evolved, even if it's a solid fighter.

Suffice it to say, I'm severely let down by this.
It had better return in the Sinnoh League, or for the Johto Frontier, or it will be complete and utter bull.

Good-bye, Gliscor, from your biggest fan. (Hahaha, that sounds so delusional of me. :|)

    Pokemon: srs bsns

Gliscor was my favorite pokemon from his team as well. I guess it was just a temporary showcase. Disappointed in the writer's decision.

    Another Piplup then?

    - A Scizor with Hyper Beam? *laughs* Dumb dumb dumb.

    - Ah, Gliscor is getting sad for losing. Damn, why the writers wanna get rid of Gliscor when it has soooo much personality.

    - Gliscor looking sad = I wanna hug it

    - Gliscor chooses to train. Oh well, at least it isn't like Ash dumps him there.

    - Team Rocket cries for Gliscor's departure. That makes many of us too. (T_T)

    - I am actually not so positive about Gliscor coming back, because at the end of the show, it says "when there is an encounter, there will be a departure". I hope it does NOT imply what I am thinking...

Honestly I have never been attached to any Pokemon like Gliscor before. I always thought Gliscors are scary-looking and is not lovable at all during DP gameplay. Ash's Gliscor proves me totally untrue.

Just great, now the writers have killed off my 2 personal favourite (Pidgeot and Gliscor).

    Spoiler:

At this moment I'm so pissed off and I am afraid that the Gible will be an eyesore for me.

Basically summed up what I feel for Ash's team. I used to think Buizel is cute but I frown when I just hear "bui, bui!!" on screen now.

Ummm... how many Pokemon are the writers going to release and forget? ._.

This episode just wanted to make me shoot Ash dead, Gliscor was his best Pokemon that was not that stupoid rat, and he neglects it and gives it to some old man even though it learned it's BEST MOVE, and he dumps it, Ash is such a neglectful trainer, he's acting like the one he is against acting like, HE IS BEGINNING TO ACT LIKE PAUL (and silver before him)!!!!!!!!!!

He should have just Kept Gliscor and "Oaked" Grotle, for it is pretty much his worst pokemon (I never really liked Turtwig or Grotle anyways, I always prefered Torterra), keep Buizel, cause he'll need him for the league

Gliscor better return and not be gone forever like Pidgeot, Primape, Vulpix, and Ambipom before him, or else I will have no choice but to, well, I better not do that, as violence solves nothing

If it's true he's getting rid of gliscor so he can catch that Glibe, then it's the best decision he's ever made.

    It's very simple really.

He's essentially swapped his weakest Pokemon in his current lineup for a pseudo-legendary pokemon. A pokemon that has the potential with the right training to evolve and become his best ever pokemon, better than his Charizard and Pikachu(when it actually performs). It's one of the best pokemon in the whole game itself and one that can win him matches easily.

    I can't see how that isn't a good decision.

Its not a good decision for a few reason one gliscor Rocked and no one on ash's team was as cool as him (only turtwig before evolving) i still like him but only cause i like that evolutionary line

Two gible is one ugly mother f..... through out his whole evolutionary line i mean it is just gross

three it is going to be my least favorite thing in anime a camera Wh0re

Finally the writers will stuff it up by giving gible a powerful personality in the first episode or two and then like posters above have stated he will become as intresting as a wet towel.

Also they will probably make it piss weak

How was Gliscor his weakest? It might have had the least desire to fight out of Ash's Pokemon, but your willingness to fight doesn't determine how good you are when you fight. Gliscor was probably the third strongest member in his team, behind Staraptor and, of course, Pikachu.

Just because Gible is a pseudo-legendary, likewise, that doesn't make it strong. And you're hanging your hopes on its evolution? You're either going to be waiting a LONG time, or it's just not going to happen. :|

Third strongest? You must be having a laugh mate.

Pikachu, Monferno, Staraptor and Grotle are definitely stronger and more accomplished in battles. I'm sure others would agree with this.

It's possibly as strong as Buizel, who despite an impressive entrance as done very little to live up to the initial hype but unlike Gliscor, he doesn't become a complete mongoloid when it comes to battling time.

I'm not saying Gliscor isn't a decent pokemon who did well occasionally in battles, but any sane and rational person would rather spend a lot of time and effort to train up a Gible, to make it stronger and evolve it rather then a Gliscor, because it's by far got the more potential to be a really really strong Pokemon and a real matchwinner. On a basis of improving his lineup, Ash made a brilliant decision.

I don't understand why he gave Glion away o.O

    - Hahaha, Piplup was hit ~
    - Air battle...
    - Apparently there was new music when Scizor came out? I couldn't hear it very well >_<
    - *Why* are they having this battle? Seems random
    - Why would Satoshi leave Glion in this random place...
    - Is it funny that they also played Route 12's theme in the Pidgeot departure episode? It's not like they use it a lot these days, so I find it pretty funny
    - Great, they had to use Kaze to Issho ni when it was released, which means we're going to get horrible dub BGM >_< Oh well, at least it's a nice song

Ash got rid of Gliscor? Best news I've heard all week.

Any reason why you are pleased by this? :P

i have to agree again gliscor was one of his strongest in my books it goes pika grotle Gliscor staraptor monferno and then buizel,

Also he is right about the gilbe thing to i highly dobut gible will evolve and if it dose i do nothing think it will be in the near future and if it dose i do not think it will ever make it to garchomp i think the max it will reach is gabite
