Read the Manga, it's better, and you won't have to manage with fillers, like Goku's Wedding saga (Boring) and Garlick saga (Pointless)

Well they had to make the crappy fillers at the time because Toriyama wasn't too far ahead and they needed to give him more time.

DBZ is without a doubt my favourite Anime of all time
Despite DB and DBGT being fairly good, I was more into Z
Just read that in Japan theres plans to produce an MMO for it, hopefully it'll make it over to an English translation for the US and rest of world

Anywho, the series is pretty good. I never bothered to go back and watch Dragonball, and since I've heard that it's not all that spectacular, I probably won't.
And your almost done with the Androids saga? Goodie! ^o^ The upcoming saga's (especially the forth one from where you are at), are awesome. So yeah, look forward to it.

The anime is better, and the fillers are good, don't listen to them.
Goku's wedding didant appear in the anime or manga, Goku and Piccolo getting there liscences was halrious and Garlic Jr saga was good.
Pikkon was a great character but the worst thing ever was the crappy Great Saiyaman saga which did appear in the manga but added more crap in the anime.

The plot in the Manga is faster than the Anime. In the Anime there are lot's of scenes that are repeating all the time, and sometimes it makes you bored. Although it's a good anime.
And...When I was a child, I didn't like Dragon Ball because I hated violence. Now...Look at me xD
But when I was little I remember some things like Cell saga, Otherworld's Tournament and a DBGT episode that ends showing Goku eating a Dragon Ball. Weird.
I am one of the few that have read the Manga before watching the Anime.

I like DBZ.
I remember the first episode I watched-the one where Goku made the spirit ball,gave it to krillen,andmissed,forcing Gohan to send it back,hitting vegeta...that episode was so wild,it hooked me like a fish to a rod...lol
it made it even more interesting at the time because I was younger,and the only other anime I watched/knew about at the time was Samurai X,Ninku,and powerstone...which were also cool.
