Watching this one, because what the goodness. It's either going to be completely bollocks or extremely entertaining, and I'm hoping it'll be the latter, because it one of those ridiculously long and nonsensical titles that makes me smile just reading it.

Pretty much what Meloetta just said xD

Honestly I'm gonna jump into it and see how long I last with it. Also I do like my fair share of white haired boys (that Wolf boy too seems cool).

Yen Press already licensed the Light Novel? That's what I call one step ahead. I'm in for this, I just hope it's not a fiasco.

First Shokugeki no Souma and now Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?. For first impression-wise J.C.Staff are certainly doing well this season. However, from other people who've watched the first episode there are a few mixed first impressions of this anime. For me it turned out a little better than what I was expecting and I did enjoy the first episode. I've heard a couple of comments that this is turning out to "The Sword Art Online that should have been" but we're only into the first episode so can't really say much there. Not to mention only the second light novel is out apparently (?)

Spoiler: Episode 1 - First thoughts and impressions

I won't be surprised how many people get the SAO vibe from this anime, because despite this "SAO" being the real world and not a game it still gives that feel. Am liking the whole "gotta level up, grind and farm" thing that's been introduced in the first episode.
Art and character design-wise also doesn't help for that feel, but it does work well. Animation and soundtrack were also pretty good.

Matsuoka Yoshitsugu is certainly doing a lot this season, not only voicing Soma from Shokugeki no Souma but Bell from DanMachi too. I'm starting to like him as a character since I have soft spot for white haired and shota boys however is still a weakling and a newbie adventurer. Hoping to see him get some good character development throughout the series. He's determined, but still shy but I didn't get the "annoyingly useless" feel from him which is good.
He does remind me of a baby white haired Kirito though - not that he has the same voice actor as him, he just gives off the same vibe despite being still weak and not OP like Kirito is.

So Bell falls head of heels for the "Asuna" of the series - Aizu Wallenstein

She hasn't really done much this episode aside from saving Bell's ass and then eating in the bar with the rest of her party (?), but her outfit at the end of the episode reminded me of Lady Kawaguchi from Gundam Build Fighters Try for some reason xD Can't really say much until I see her a little bit more.

This dude... what a dick. Well I was expecting either a stuck up Wolf guy or a strong silent type, but guess we ended up with the asshole type. I do wish to see more of those other characters with her.

We've also got Bell's goddess Hestia who is... I guess fairly interesting? She likes Bell and get fairly jealous pretty easy after hearing how another girl is the reason his stats are growing so fast which is cute.

Me being me, I don't really go with the female characters much anyway, but I'll watch her as well while the series goes along.
There were two other female characters introduced, but I won't go into it too much today.

DanMachi off to an interesting start. I'm going to give it a first impression score of 7-7.5/10 for now since I did enjoy it, but not as much as Shokugeki no Souma.

    First episode impressions.

    Spoiler:

^Tell me where you're reading all those Light Novels, man.

First impression to this episode? Hmm... Loli goddess nearly turned me off, that's one. But otherwise, man this is off to a good start.

Although, the whole level up system is really weird in a real setting. I mean, this is supposed to take place in the real life equivalent of that world, and there's levels? How does one judge levels? It's like taking SAO's real-life video game concept, but literally in real life. I'm intrigued now haha.

Summaries and the manga lol. I know Vol. 1 was fully completed on Baka-Tsuki before Yen Press picked up the license. I'm sure that someone is silently translating the rest of the series on a blogspot or something.

like a lot of people, i'm getting a sao vibe from this. i enjoyed the first episode though. hestia is cute. :3

Well it's not SAO. But the setting is nice.

Anyway I wonder how J.C. Staff will do adapting this since I have low expectations for adaptations.

It's nice seeing the various mechanics though. Hestia with black hair kinda surprised me heh

Not a fiasco and really liked it. Although the 'kamisama' character is kinda disturbing (how on hell can she have those boobs at her age? LOL!).

The only bad thing I can think of is the fact there are only 3 LN so far. That's not too much material to adapt :(

There's 5 Volumes. 3-4 are mostly translated IIRC.

My initial reaction to watching this first ep was the realization that all light novels must be written by the same guy.

    Christ, this is awful.

    I like it.

Seems okay. I don't think I will love it because of the loli goddess but I will probably keep watching because it hasn't turned bad yet.

I saw this on my crunchyroll feed and wasn't too sure on whether to watch it but after what s lot of people have said here I might give it a go tonight or something. Gotta love tones of anime to watch haha

I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW. BELL IS PRECIOUS. Anyway, I watched episode 2 and was upset with Bell about what he did. But Hestia is so adorable, omg. So far, I think it'll be good. I love JC Staff. They are my favorite studio, so I'm confident this will be good. It's kind of like Arcana Famagilia with the whole "families" thing, so!

We're just on episode 2 and Hestia cosplay art on danbooru is overflowing *A*
