Hahahah I remember I used to duplicate alot in silver for master balls. How did you duplicate (if you did) and for what purpose?

Ahhh the good old days of MissingNo. and the Old Man. Brings back so many memories.

    Used: MissingNo glitch
Duped: Master Balls, Full Restores, Rare Candies (I was young and didn't know they were bad xD )

This was in Gen I. In Gen II, I used the switch box and turn off before saving is complete trick to dupe pokemon. ^-^

I never did anything like that. Using glitches scared me, so I did the Missing No thing once and never did it again lol. Never cloned in these games either.

Ohh boy I used to and still duplicate the most important items that I need. Those items are a master ball, rare candies, and full restores. However I hardly did this in GSC, because cloning takes a while and it's really not worth it. You end up with too many clones, plus some of them could be bad clones. :V Also BTW you can use the same trick that's used to clone pokemon in GSC in GRBY, but it has a high risk of destroying your save file. :V I discovered that glitch actually...

I spammed the hell out of the MissingNo. glitch in Blue, used it for Rare Candies and Master Balls mainly.

Once I found out about the item and Pokémon cloning glitches, I put both to extensive use. I used the MissingNo. glitch (R/B) extensively to clone Master Balls, Nuggets (so I could sell them and eventually max out my money), Full Restores, and Max Revives.
In Gold and Silver, I frequently used the Pokémon cloning glitch to duplicate rare and legendary Pokémon, including those I had imported from Gen I via Time Capsule.

I remember abusing the Pokemon duplication glitch in Crystal, mainly to get a ton of Rare Candies to easily level up my Pokemon (which I now know was a dreadful idea), and to make duplicates of all the Pokemon I was to trade with a friend. I believe I also used it to get a ton of Master Balls... most of which just sat there unused, because I still found them too 'special' to use.

I remember I had a team of Level 63 Togepi's in Crystal, one evolved into a Togetic at Level 69 and I defeated the Elite Four & Champion!

I never actually knew that MissingNo could be used as anything before long after I joined PC, so I never actually tried out that glitch, however the G/S duplication glitch I practically abused. At the time I mainly used it to fill up my team with duplicates of my starter, because generally I thought it was the Pokémon and wanted to use it for battling, though I also used it to trade over some of my best Pokémon to my friends without having to lose them in the process. I didn't even consider that you could duplicate Masterballs with it too untill my friend told me when he was trying to catch the legendary dogs, though that was right before people stopped caring about Pokémon :<

Haha, cloning... I was so proud when I duplicate a Masterball, it was magical. That seemed to be great, but I'm sure my Silver game broke because of that. It couldn't stand it :pink_no:

I remembered looking online in the early days of the internet for ways to exploit MissingNo, but I don't think I ever managed to clone anything like a Master Ball successfully. I'm sure I managed to break numerous save files, on the other hand! And this is going to sound horribly naive, but I didn't even know there was a Gen II cloning glitch until reading the rest of these replies! So... no. I didn't end up using it. :P

Even though I knew of the Missingno. glitch, I don't think I really took advantage of getting a bunch of duplicate items.

In Gold, though, I used the cloning glitch quite a bit to get a bunch of Rare Candies. I think at one point I ended up having close to 4 full boxes of just Meganium and Snorlax from all the cloning :P
