3rd Gen e-reader with emerald?

im getting emerald pokemon today and i am wondering if i can use my e-reader from ruby/saphire on it to get more trainers to battle and the super rare berries?

thats all i need to know...if the e-reader and cards are usable with emerald directly.

You can use e-Reader+, but you can't use the cards for Ru/Sa. You have to buy specific cards for Emerald.
