Too keep Other Games relatively clean during E3, each of the big three gaming giants will have their own stickied discussion threads. Once this is unlocked, feel free to post.

    Enjoy!

And not a single post yet, huh? Odd...

Anyway, there are several games coming out on Playstation systems that have piqued my interest above the rest:

    PS2
    ---
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3
Final Fight Streetwise (now all we need is for Sega to finally make another Streets of Rage)
Metal Gear Solid 3 Substance (GIANT ROBO PIPISARU!)

    PS3
    ---
    Devil May Cry 4
    Tekken Next
    Metal Gear Solid 4

    PSP
    ---
    Guilty Gear Judgment
    Street Fighter Alpha

Is it really that odd? We're a Pokemon board. Naturally more Nintendo fans post here. It is sad though... Sad that only you & I have have posted here & I don't really count my post due to it's Sony-less sentences. Other than the fact I just used the word "Sony" of course. La~la~la~la...

*points at Microsofts thread & laughs*

    Edit:
Okay, it's hard to leave this thread without saying something nice about Sony.
*thinks about Metal Gear Solid 4*
Yes, I am also looking forward to MGS3:Substance & MGS4. There, it tis done.

I got a question for you all, at sony's press conference they showed demos of what the PS3 is suppose to be able to do. The question is, was the "in-game" footage we saw at the press conference real time or pre rendered?

I hope it's real time, but it looks so good it's hard to belive.

There was a mix, different companies did their own thing to show off upcoming products.

so it is really going to be a modified version of final fantasy 7 in PS3?
So far they've only shown a tech demo and said plainly that they do not currently have any plans. What to make of it is unknown, as it may have not been on the current agenda of the Square-Enix team, but may be on the minds of many of it's members. Meaning they might be considering it, but as of now nobody has 'officially' said 'lez go remake FF7 cuz it was teh pwnzors!11'.

It's a well-known fact that FFVII has the largest fanbase of any title in the series, and S-E even acknowleged that at the Sony press conference, but if we all remember correctly, S-E said long ago that they don't have any plans of a remake as long as the current system can play the original. Unless they decide on making it for X360(my soul would be sold to M$ if they did), they'll probably wait until PS4 for the game. :\

Was there a showing for Soul Calibur 4 at E3? I was wondering about it, since it's going to be coming out for the PS2.

I think yeah whoever gets FF7 will have an advantage overall, with the large fanbase and all.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: it wouldn't surprise me in the least if a FFVII remake turned-up in some shape or form. Square-Enix is using the multi-platform FFVII Compilation to reach out and grab new fans for the series. So what are these new fans going to want to do once they've become hooked on AC, BC, CC and DC? Play the original game to complete the story, maybe? I'm sure SE don't want them rummaging through bargain bins to find it, so it should be provided for them one way or another.

PS3 remake or just the PSOne original re-released on a PS2 DVD. Who knows. I'd just find it odd if they left new fans hanging like that.

Soul Calibur 3 is coming out on the PS2, not 4. And they're still making 3, so 4 probably won't be started until 3 comes out.

It's sad that they didnt allow cameras during the Kingdom Hearts II trailer that showed the Pirates Of The Carribean world. It would've rocked if we could see what it's going to be like.

Also, I really liked the Metal Gear Solid 4 thing they showed. The graphics are amazing. Now I'm definately going to have to buy Playstation 3.

I agree with you, but I'm not exactly ready to question what they have said years ago, nor at the press conference. It does seem like they'll create it though- their actions really speak against their words.

"We won't make a sequel until it's unplayable on the current system." ["So we'll create a spin-off for every other system!"]

"We currently have no plans of releasing FFVII for Playstation III" ["Although we're showing you this tech demo!"]
