EA's move to be the Best...

    Do you like it? Here's what EA did for all who don't know:
    This one shows EA's true self of cowardness. EA was afraid of ESPN NFL 2K5 so they sign a deal with the NFL so that Madden would be the only one to use NFL stats, players, and teams. Just to elimate all the compitition. Wimps.
    What's your opinon on this situation? I think EA is just afriad of compitition becuase they're lazy to make a better game.
     
    Darn!ESPN's games were miles better than EA's.So it means..only 1 football game this year?o_0
     
    I can't believe how EA is acting right now, not only did they buy the rights, but recently they have been trying to purchase almost every developing company. I hear they're interested in Ubisoft now.

    Overworking they're employee's is another big issue with them as well...

    They bought 19.9% of Ubisoft already. They own more of Ubisoft than the owners, who own 15%. This contract with NFL will last for 5 years. So only one football game will have the NFL stuff until 2010.
    EDIT: Oh wait. If you thought that wasn't enough, EA made a 15-year licensing with ESPN. So ESPN will start to so up in EA Sports games when ESPN's contract with Sega expires next year.

    EA taking over.

    Electronic Arts has alot of good series but Sega's ESPN games we're good too.Though I think that Sega should use that time to make some different games (a new kind of game series perhaps).

    You don't like it when a large company makes a sound business decision, do you?

    EA buys out the rights to a franchise so that they can maximise profit in much the same way Microsoft freely distributed Internet Explorer with Windows to outdo Netscape.

    For EA, making sports games is about profits, not fans. If you and other American football fans don't like the games, don't buy them. Then, EA will be forced to make better games or drop the franchise. If many copies of the games are sold, then the game can't be that much rubbish.

    I'm not an American football fan, nor do I like sports video games, so I'm no expert on the matter of American football games, but I do know business and the video game industry. The above is merely my opinion based on what I know about the industry.

    I don't like most of the games EA has produced, so I'd be happy to see one of their franchises go belly-up.
