Eggs are a fun aspect of the Pokemon games, but waiting for them to hatch can be tedious, and requires a lot of patience. Fortunately, the games provide plenty of ways to make hatching go faster, such as having a Pokemon with Flame Body in your party, or the Hatching O Power in 6th gen.

What's your preferred method of hatching? Do you have a particular routine or procedure you go through to hatch your eggs quickly?

i do most of my pokémon breeding in X & Y since thats my 'main game', and i usually put my
pokémon into tue daycare & go up and down the route in front of the Battle Maison until i get an egg. after i have a couple i go in circles in Lumiose city & explore it a bit- i've gotten really well acquainted pfft

I usually like to carry a Pokemon with Flame Body around while hatching eggs, since it speeds up the time taken to hatch the egg and that's helpful if you're hatching something that takes a long time to hatch.

I literally just cycle up and down by the Daycare Centre until the egg starts to hatch. It can be so tedious at times, especially when you're looking for something specific.

I bike with a Pokemon that has Flame Body.

Try to find the longest straight stretch of land without interruption to go back and forth. Yeah, it's tedious and can be boring, but it gets the job done so I won't complain.

    Me, I always do laps around Lumiose City. Practically every egg I've ever hatched has Lumiose City listed as its hatch location haha. Flame Body also helps. Makes a big difference when you're hatching a bunch of Pokemon at once ^^;

I only recently got into breeding with Y and Alpha Sapphire, but the Battle Resort in ORAS has that cool continuous lap. That plus a Flame Body Pokemon -usually my Talonflame, Robin- is my set-up if I'm breeding with a purpose. Sometimes, I like breeding as travel as it feels more natural and I grow attached to the Pokemon that way.

I'm getting into breeding, just need a Destiny Knot or two, but I did a little back in Black. I hatched so many eggs, and spent so long on that bridge. I should really bring a Talonflame into OR so it will go by faster once I do get to that point. I'm looking forward to hatching a bunch of eggs, it was fun.

I don't use any items like flame body to hatch my Pokémon. I just bike here and there to cross enough steps for hatching the egg.

It can be tedious if you're hatching for the likes of Bagon, Beldum, Snorlax aka Devil Eggs. Lol That is why Flame Body/Magma Armor is essential when hatching eggs, O-Power Hatch is a blessing as well. :)

I do exactly the same thing.

Those ones feel like they take forever to hatch, don't they? Over 10,000 steps is a lot, when you really stop and look at it. I went through about 200 Beldum eggs in Y in an attempt to get a shiny Beldum through the Masuda method. Those O-Powers helped a ton haha.

Lucky you! When I was doing MM for a shiny Eevee, it actually succeeded as well, I got a shiny. Yet the IVs are extremely undesirable for a Timid Eevee. I forgot if Eevee is one of those Devil Eggs, but the breeding abd hatching can be devastating

With Hatching Power Level 3 in my main copy of X, that's the main method I use to get my eggs hatching quickly, alongside biking across Route 7 and Camphrier Town endlessly until they hatch.

And on the topic of the ones that take over 10,000 steps to hatch I too remember when I one day attempted to try to MM for a Deino, but after a box's worth I said screw it and decided not to waste any more time with it.

I leave Fletchinder as my hatching Pokemon for Flame Body (and Fly for when I want to check IV's or train up a Lv.1)

I collect eggs until I have five, activate the strongest Hatching O-Power, then hatch all of them. I release the babies that aren't what I'm after, and then I repeat the process. That's pretty much all there is to how I do it, outside of making sure I control IV's, nature, and maximize chances of a shiny.

Yep, same here. For a while, I actually didn't know about how carrying a Pokémon with Flame Body ability could help, but after learning, it seemed to have made egg-hatching slightly more easy. It's still not a laid-back task, but I'm kind of glad that I was able to discover it.

Hmm well for usual hatching i just run around with it in my party but thats in game if im trying to hatch multiple at once i usually keep a pokemon with flame body in the rooster but if im in xy ill also ask for hatching power witch will be pretty beneficial on top of the flame body properties.
