    I've honestly been lurking around here for years, reading threads but never posting or registering. Well, now I've changed my mind. Now I wish to be a part of this community!

    Okay, so about me... well, I've been a Pokemon fan for, well, as long as I can remember (so about 20 minutes...kidding). I started with Pokemon Crystal, and from there have played basically all of them (at least one from each generation/pair release - minus X and Y). I have also played the original Red and Blue and Yellow version (Yellow rocks!)

    I kind of do some competitive battling, but nothing official. Mainly just Wifi matches or a battle simulator like Pokemon Showdown or Pokemon Online, but I do work to get battle competition ready Pokemon in the games.

    I also like a lot of the ROM hacks I've seen, and am wanting to make my own, but I won't talk too much about that here.

    I have NOT played X or Y, but I have played Omega Ruby, so I'm familiar with the mechanics, just not very many of the Pokemon.

    Apparently you joined 2 years ago now, but as you said you had not done much back then. Anyway, late welcome to PC!

    Awesome to hear you've played every generation, but I do hope you get around to X & Y soon and while they weren't viewed as the best games by many they still have their unique features that some people love. I've only played stuff that was 3rd Gen and later but I had been a Pokemon fan long before then.

    As for what you'd enjoy here, we have ROM Hacking since you're interested in the hacks here, and there's also Battling & Team Building for all the competitive stuff, with our own Showdown server on top of that.

    it seems you joined a couple years ago so welcome back! if you like to work on roms, you should check out the rom hacking section of the forum to meet other members who enjoy the same hobby as you. of course since this is a pokemon site, there is a whole pokemon section about battling and trading. when i first joined on here, all i did was trade for shinies! let me know if you need any help or a friend, just drop a vm.

    From what I can tell, you're a pretty seasoned Pokemon trainer. Out of all of them, what's your favorite Pokemon game? My favorite has to be Pokemon Black, although I haven't played any games before gen 3 so I can't exactly say... I envy you though! I would have loved to try like Pokemon Yellow. That game sounds so fun! You should definitely try X/Y though. I didn't like it at all, but it's still a nice game and it's nice to learn about the 6th gen Pokemon from the game that introduced them.

    Since you've been lurking here for a while, I bet you already know your place around here, so I hope you have a great time here and feel free to friend me or VM me if you ever want to chat! :)
     
    Oh for years, eh? Well, welcome! It's nice to finally have you a part of this community indeed; I'm Dragon! I hope that you and I will become really great friends! I do compete in competitive matches myself, and I'm going to have to do some more battles soon to sharpen up my skills, but yeah, maybe we can see you on the showdown server sometime~!

    Pokemon Crystal was amazing; sometimes I go back to that game for challenges! But I do hope that you're having fun with the games, and I hope that you're looking forward to new games that might come soon! Like I for one can't wait for the new Mystery Dungeon. ^w^

    Crystal's amazing. The animated sprites were a godsend back then imo haha, they looked so good and the improvement in graphics/color from R/B/Y were just great. Wishing you luck making a ROM hack in the future too - lots of resources to take advantage of and many people to help out. :) You're in a great place here and we all hope you'll stick around!     My favorite is either Emerald or Crystal, but sadly I've lost Crystal. I would like to try X or Y. They're on my list, but the choice was either one of those or Omega Ruby, so I chose Omega Ruby
