Evolutions you dislike

Are there any evolutions you dislike and would change, or maybe even remove entirely, if you could?

I feel like I've never adjusted to a lot of the Sinnoh evolutions added to existing Pokémon. Particularly Magmortar and Electivire - their designs are just really eh to me. /:

I will double what @Sheep said. Plus will also add Metal Coat, protector, etc. Based trade evolutions.

If items are there, then the idea of adding trade as well hindered me always to get them.

Gengar and Alakazam as well; I saw them on TV and thought that they evolve directly after mid-stage, but only found that they are needed to traded.

    😭 😭 😭

Gholdengo also comes to mind for it's peculiar requirements.

One of the intriguing is evolving Wurmple. We cannot determine what it will evolve into. So it's purely luck factor.

And other uncontrollable like three-segment Dudunsparce, family of four Maushold. Though said chances are 1/100.

Landing three critical hits in single battle for getting Sirfetch'd is not easy per say, and also getting 49 HP or more damage on Galarian Yamask from single hit.

Remove Palafin, that thing has no reason to exist.

You have one Pokémon that evolves into the same Pokémon with a different name, only so it gets a new broken Ability. The evolution itself was unnecessary since what matters is the Ability to change forms. If they didn't want this OP form to be accessible in the early game they could have done the Wishiwashi method, by preventing the Ability to trigger below a certain level.

I'm join the club with Sinnoh evolutions. They try to be cool so much it's turning me away. Also +1 to Gholdengo. Such a weird creature.

I'm also not a fan of Florges. I much prefer Floette, in fact it's one of my favourites from Kalos, and usually don't evolve it to Florges at all.

And there is also Yamper and Boltund. Not that I like Yamper that much, but Boltund has really generic and boring design.

    Thought of Incineroar first.

Dislikes Gholdengo. Understands making something out of coins. Looks kind of ugly.

Is not a fan of Liepard. Only really needs to change the yellow back into white (that Purrloin had). (Maybe change the spots or remove them too? Goes against the name if you do that, though.)

Changes Pawmot and Palafin. Resembles their prior stage too much.

Rhyperior, Lickilicky, and Tangrowth. Rhyperior just slaps rocks onto it. I feel like Rhydon had an emphasis on its horn, yet Rhyperior is overdesigned with the need to have a rock arm cannon. Lickilicky is too rounded out compared to Lickitung which had, say, angles on its cheeks. Tangrowth loses the details that Tangela had where all the vines were detailed and drawn out. Also you can see the inside of Tangrowth as a gray body, which ruins how Tangela had it as a mystery what could be in its core.

I suppose also Alolan Golem and Probopass. Wasn't necessary for Golem to gain a beard and it doesn't flow from Geodude-A and Graveler-A, but rather seems to only be a taken on Golem-K. Probopass with its eyes, mustache, and mini-noses is just a mess.

Oh right, also Incineroar, I remember because of Devalue's post. I like Incineroar, but I don't like that it evolves from Litten and Torracat.

Incineroar and Inteleon were the first to come to mind due to disliking them while liking an earlier form. I evolved my Torracat once and will never do so again.

For me the only Sinnoh new evo I dislike is Probopass. They could've given Nosepass something far more interesting than slapping a hat on and giving it nose hair / a mustache.

Gurdurr/Conkeldurr. Timburr is the only good looking stage here.
Eelektrik/Eelektross. Tynamo is cute, but the rest of the line is blegh.

Brionne. I always get my Popplio up to Primarina asap as a result =P
    Greedent. Don't like it.
    Boltund. Don't like it.

I also find Klink being a 3 stage line unnecessary. With how little the design changes between stages they should've just scrapped the middle stage.
Speaking of unnecessary mid stages: Pawmo. Pawmi should just go straight to Pawmot given how negligible the differences between Pawmi and Pawmo are.

Compared to the others mentioned it's a more mild dislike, but Greninja should've kept the bubble scarf.

Rhyperior is the biggest one for me. It's the only one that has caused me to not evolve it. I'd rather keep Rhydon. It looks so unnatural, unlike Rhydon which was a believable looking animal creature. They also took away the sleek silver color.

I also love Scorbunny but I think everything after downgraded.

I don't mind Electivire, but most of the other Gen. IV evos of 'mon that previously didn't evolve are pretty disappointing. I especially dislike Magmortar and Lickilicky. Oddly enough, all of the Gen. IV alt. evos were executed brilliantly imo.

Doing a quick look-over (of final evos only and omitting 'mon whose base forms I also dislike), I'm also not a fan of Floatzel, Purugly, Simisear, Simipour, Musharna, Delphox, Diggersby, Alolan Persian, Incineroar, Gumshoos, Salazzle, Hisuian Typhlosion, Cinderace, Thievul, Dubwool, Boltund, Perrserker, Sneasler (big yuck), Meowscarada, or Gholdengo. Maybe Farigiraf (I find the concept vaguely amusing but I'm not a fan of the darker color or the eyelashes).

If Megas count, Pinsir, Heracross, and Lati@s can be added to that list.

I think scizor isnt a good evo for scyther, it looks more like a crab/lobster than a mantis. Kleavor fixed this luckily.

Look up wasp mantidfly and you'll get the picture.

I used to like Rhyperior as a kid but now I'm just not a fan of it, it feels like a cracked mud ball and doesn't have the generic rhino monster feel of Rhyhorn and Rhydon. Dipplin and Hydrapple while decent designs it kinda threw up the fun of the other 2 in the trash, you will always choose Hydrapple because it's objectively much stronger than the other two while Flapple and Appletun have similar power levels.
Electrivire is a really bad pokemon performance wise as a slow (for an electric type) physical electric type and I never liked its furry look, it's not as funny as elekid and electabuzz but it doesn't look cool either and the fact that people push it around makes it me dislike it more (no, making it a fighting type won't solve its problems and doesn't fit it).
Ambipom looks like it's going to post a video with 1.1k upvotes on r/popping with its swollen pus-filled hands with red skin

So back when I was playing RBY and FRLG, I always used the everstone to stop my Dragonair to evolve into a Dragonite. Because I was in denial that a "snake" would evolve into a massive dragon.

Also any of the Gen 1 (Magmar, Rhydon, Electabuzz to name a few) Pokemon that received Gen 4 evolutions...because why.

Ursaluna. Its bored looking facial expression does not help. This line seemed to have gotten a 'promotion' with the designers if you catch my drift, but that's not gonna make me like it.

Who knows? I hated Lucario when it was first unveiled but a year later I love it, so anything can happen.

I dislike Sylveon it looks too cartoony and the eyes look too big compared to the other ones who look more natural

Raichu, not cuz it's ugly or anything, I just feel like the poor thing is, for lack of a better word, useless. Tell me, when have you ever seen anyone talking about Raichu and not started the topic with Pikachu? It just feels like he wasn't invited.

Also Vanilluxe, did it really have to be a three stage? And Gholdengo, because that's the cheese string mascot! (Oh wait, am I late?)
    :raichu::vanilluxe::gholdengo:
