I'm seeing a few promising Fakemon threads around here... Hey, why not start my own?

--I've been creating and revising these Pokemon ever since the first Pokemon movie came out, and there are almost 200 in all. I'll show my best ones here little by little...

[Forest Grovyle]

Wow, these are pretty nice fakemon! ^_^ I love the first one and the two comet Pokémon are cool. The first of those kinda reminds me of a fiery Gastly! I think they could do with some clearer shading in places (maybe cel shading?) as the gradient shading makes them look a bit flat. But the lineart is really nice and clean - good job!!

Lol @ Puffly's Japanese name. xD My faves? Nichireo, Kesobu, Purineko, and Seiburasu. ;) I agree with Forest Grovyle on the shading though, they look kinda flat.

Saberus is freakin awesome. ^^ It's like an evil cheetah...panther thing of death.

I can't wait to see more!

Yeah, especially considering "Kawaine" kind of means "Cute huh?".

I kind of agree with the shading myself. I have no clue ehat "Cel shading" is, but I guess I could modify the gradients a bit...

**I created Luciel less than a month ago.
**I drew Samakura less than an hour ago. It used to look like this...
**Harmonique and Telegon originally evolved directly from Misdreavus, but when Muumaaji came out, I had to change that...

I guess I decided against showing the Donkarasu evos... that'll come later. Also stay tuned for a draconic fivesome, as well as the first Pokemon I ever created!

LOVE the warrior Pokémon. I think it could be a character in its own right. :D

And cel-shading is shading like in the animé, with blocks of colour. I guess it doesn't help that I am not really a big fan of gradient shading XD

Now that this is my third set, I think I can now tell you how I draw these:

1. Draw the Pokemon on paper.
2. Trace the outline of the Pokemon (everything that's not a construction line) with a black pen.
3. Scan the drawing into the computer.
4. Trace over the Pokemon in Illustrator.
5. While that's being done, colour the Pokemon.
