4th Gen Faraway place?

    I got three pikachu's at level 13in platinum from the gts!The summary says that they are from a faraway place!Is that from the new pokemon games?If you have tested and you are sure please tell me!

    Yes, for some sad reason they don't say Johto, they say faraway place :( ... It would be nice if it did say Johto though lol...
     
    Maybe the Johto location was only programmed in D/P and not Platinum.

    No you are wrong. As has already been said Faraway Place is the phrase in DPP that says it comes from HG/SS. You obviously have never Pal Parked something 'cause if you did you would see that it says either from Kanto or from Hoenn depending on which Gen3 game it is.
     
    I'm pretty sure that if the Pokemon was from either XD or Colosseum then trading it to one of the 5 gen 3 games then palparked it over, I'm pretty sure it'll say it's from a fare away place.

    Nope, if it originates in XD or Colosseum it will say Distant Land. Like I said, the first two posters are correct and I know for a fact 'cause I have Pokemon on my Platinum that were bred on HG and then traded over. I also have Pokemon on my Platinum from all the other compatible games.

    Ooh I was close. Distant land, Fareaway place, I just got mixed up.
     
    Colo/XD = Distant Land.

    Pal Parked Pokemon from RSE/FRLG will say the name of the region the Pokemon was caught in (e.g. Kanto) and 'arrived at level ___'.

    Pokemon traded from HG/SS to D/P/Pt will apparently say 'From a faraway place'. Not sure why, but that is the case... which is actually amusing as one of the things considered to be the major 'hints' or evidence towards GS remakes happening was the in-game coding in D/P/Pt allowing Pokemon to come from Johto, despite the fact that when DP came out no Pokemon could actually come over and have been originally caught in Johto, making the coding unnecessary... or possibly put in thre in case they decided to make GS remakes. (And as we all know, they did. =D) The fact this coding was not actually used despite HG/SS actually being made and all strikes me as odd, but amusingly, the biggest tip-off never got used anyway. XD

    Anyway there's your answer. Closed.
