    Well, the thread that .com made, I can't really tell if it is similar to this or not, because I was a bit confused, but if it is, Nick will close this then, I guess...

    Anyway, what's your favorite music genre? Country, Rock, Opera, etc.


    My favorite is Death Core/Grind Core.
     
    Forms of Rock and Electronic music... post-rock, ambient, shoegaze, alternative rock, progressive rock, etc.
     
    About every form of Rock music is fine with me. I do find, however, most screamo just pisses me off. I mean how can you call something that sounds like hardcore gargling a song?
     
    Romantic love songs from the late '80's/early '90's. Might be too specific for a genre, but it's what I listen to 90% of the time. I like the light, relaxing sound and refreshing lyrics.
     
    i like alt rock,nu-metal and grudge the best.
     
    I can appreciate a lot of different genres, I don't think there's any case where I can say "I like every artist in that genre" or "I dislike every artist in that genre." All genres have examples of good and bad artists.
    Most of my favourite bands belong to the progressive rock genre, because these bands will usually make songs that are longer and more complex; there's a lot more though put into their music.
    Although I can enjoy listening to a lot of other genres just as much; looking at my most played artists, they're all different forms of rock or electronic music, or a combination of the two.
     
    Every music genre :). It depends pretty much on my state of mind. Sometimes I use music to focus (like when meditating, running, or before weight training), slow down or lighten up my mood.
    I think music is meant to be experienced, and you don't stop eating rice just because you like soda.
     
    I really love R&B and the various genres around it(Soul, Neo-Soul, Classic Soul, Funk, etc.), Pop, Pop Rock, Rap, Hip-Hop, Dance, New Wave, Adult Contemporary, Soft Rock, Gospel...

    But when picking one I guess I will pick R&B. :)
     
    These days, Electric, Rock, R&B, Rap and some contemporary.
     
    I ultimately enjoy J-Pop, K-Pop, and Pop the best, although I do enjoy R&B, Hip-Hop and J-Rock from time to time. And not to forget, I like to listen to Alternative & Punk music too.
     
    I like a lot of music, but at the moment I'm really into alternative rock, post-rock and post-punk revival.
     
    I guess I like rock music in general, but I really like all kinds of music. I listen to everything. My least favourites are country and rap, but I listen to a few songs here and there from those genres too. :)
