The question is pretty self-explanatory, but what is your favorite Mario game?

Mine is personally Super Mario 2 for gameboy (The old one, no the redone one for Gba), because the graphics and gameplay is a definate improvement and it fun. Super Mario 64 was well done too.

There was never an original Super Mario 2 for Game Boy or Game Boy Color. Super Mario Advance uses the version of Super Mario Bros. 2 featured in Super Mario All-Stars for the SuperNES. The original Super Mario Bros. 2 was for the NES. Maybe you're thinking of Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, which is something else completely.

Anyway, my personal favourites are: Super Mario Bros., Super Mario World, Super Mario 64 and Paper Mario.

Yes thats the one, I didn't know it was something completely diffrent....

Super Mario RPG is fun too, my friend got me into it XP. I want to see if Nintendo would be able to bring that success to the Gamecube.

I am not really interested in Mario but, if U want to know my fav Mario game, Well.....
    it's Super Mario 64 I think....

^_^ Paper mario is my favorite! And my first RPG! o.O; *goes to play it* XD It is just so awesome! :D

Let's see, ummm.... I think my favourites are Super Mario Bros. 1 & 3, Super Mario World, and Super Mario RPG. So far I haven't really liked the 3D ones. I especially didn't like how Sunshine relied on a tool for the most part of the game instead of using Mario's normal powers. I hope whatever type of game Mario 128 is incorproates all the Mario elements and doesn't just rely on a tool.

Can't decide because I'm obssesed with Mario. I like every single videogame
he is on with the exeption of Mario Golf . BUt I'm gonna go with Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga.I just played this game a few months ago and I LOVED it.The whole RPG concept is so fun that I can't wait for Paper Mario 2.But I still like Super Mario 64 because I grew with that game.

Wow! Me too! I love Paper Mario!
My first actual RPG was pokemon, but Paper Mario was my first console RPG!

I dunno, Double Dash! Seemed fun enough to me. Of course I was a lot younger when I played the 64 version, so maybe I?m just blocking the memories cause I lost a lot or something. =o

Dunno if I said this yet, but I think Mario&Luigi? Superstar Saga is one of the best Mario games of the current generation. It?s funny, uses licensed sounds and characters very well, and proves to be a fun, yet simple RPG that doesn?t lose its flame.

Yeah, but graghics doesn't really matter if it is a great game, like the Super mario world, the graphics are not very good, but I would prefer to play that instead of Super Mario 64, because it was a brilliant game

I think both of those games were excellent, I have very fond memories of both. I wasn?t even implying the graphics were the reason anyways.

Mario 64 really helped pioneer 3D platformers forever, and it?s the most fun to play of them too! My grandfather and I both played that game a lot, it?s one of the most fun ones I?ve ever played.

"Double Dash!" Is defenitely my favorite Mario Kart. Mario Kart 64, for some reason, seemed a little empty to me, while the 2D ones are harder to control with the control pad.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is one of my favorite Mario games, but I just seem to like Paper Mario over it. I think the overall story is better. And it's a little strange how the Beanstar never actually does anything in the game hehe...

Lt. Surge - I didn't base my 2D Mario Kart decision on graphics alone. I rarely do that. If graphics are what make games then all the great classic old school games that I love dearly would be considered junk by today's standards where so many games are turly junk and focus too much on graphics. Err... what I meant in my Mario Kart post was that Super Circuit was already a good game in its own right, then the fact that it had the original courses in it was plus.

Kairi - I agree. Super Mario 64 was the pioneer of 3D platformers. But arguabley not the best. It's a classic, but I found Banjo-Kazooie to be a lot more enjoyable. Then you have the games that just go overboard and suck the fun out of it by giving you way to many things to collect if you don't want to settle for anything less then 101%, like Donkey Kong 64.
