I'll finish my series of poll topics with Water Starters. Once again I know that there are Water type lovers who always choose this type of Pokemon on their virtual journeys. Same as grass types they can give you major advantage on the beginning of the game and some of them can provide you transportation almost everywhere. So which one would you choose and why? Which one is your favorite?

My favorite Water starter would be Mudkip. I haven't had a chance to test out the mega-evo, But I almost always took him on my 3rd gen game adventure. I love the Water-Ground combo that gives me advantage on many gyms.

My absolute fave of the bunch is this cutie:

    [PokeCommunity.com] Favorite Water Starter?

You can't go past Oshawott, ever. I fell in love with the little guy when he was first revealed, and when I heard his adorable voice in the anime my fangirlism was cemented. Has always been my total mascot ever since.

I'll have to side with Mudkip on this one.

Its design seems to be adorable to me (even though more or less every starter Pokémon are put-together like this), and its final-stage, Swampert, could be very easy to utilize when in terms of battling. Swampert's defenses are huge, as well as its offensive stats, allowing it to endure good amount of hits and strike back hard.

My second favorite is Squirtle; although Blastoise might not be too great in comparison to some others on competitive side, in-game, it could still make a good member for almost any team. On top of that, its appearance is pretty simplistic, which I'm definitely a fan of!

I had a tough time choosing between either Oshawott or Mudkip, as I've had fond memories of using both in my playthroughs. In the end, I chose to go with Oshawott because his final evo, Samurott, has become one of my all time favorite Pokemon. You just can't go wrong with samurais and sea lions!

Oshawott! Not much to say here, he is
    Spoiler:
cute. I already liked him when I saw him for the first time. My strongest Pokemon is his last evolution: Samurott

I decided to vote Froakie for this. Froakie itself looks so funny with that puzzled look on its face, and Frogadier is cool as well. But is it weird that I like Greninja's pre-evolutions more than itself?

    Yes it is!

Froakie is cute but Frogadier is just ugly and awful looking. Then you have Greninja (and moreso its shiny) which are just very cool looking.

I'm torn on my favourite water starter, Blastoise's line has always been a favourite of mine (and I love his Mega) but I do love greninja now too.

Definitely Piplup. It's the first water starter I ever wanted to use (though I've tried the others since) and the only one I'd rather chose compared to the fire starters in all the other games.

    Piplup.

Loved its evolutions, its moveset (besides Bubble...), and most of all, Dawn's Piplup in the anime. It's probably the reason I like it so much...also, it's adorable! What's not to like about penguins?

Second place would be Froakie, because...well, it's cute and it becomes a ninja frog.

Oh yeah, I really like Greninja's shiny form. Black and red, those are the colors a real ninja would likely specialize in. :P

But aside from Froakie, I think my order is that one > Mudkip > Totodile > Oshawott > Squirtle > Piplup. I like all of them quite a bit, so don't think I think any worse of them, haha.

Squirtle is really cute. And I liked Piplup a lot.

Piplup is like the worst one for battle, but it's really cute, and Empoleon is Steel so that's like bonus points.

I also like Totodile, but I think all the Gen 2 starters I have a bias for because that's the Gen for me that's the most nostalgic.

Even though I have Greninja as my theme, I actually like Feraligatr a little bit more, so I voted for Totodile. Greninja is a pretty close second, but I just like Feraligatr's design and how intimidating it can be.

Surprisingly Piplup!! I was never big on the Sinnoh starters, but I love Empoleon's typing. I didn't actually care for it until I used it and found that it was decent enough for me. Plus in Sinnoh there were always few water types I really cared to use so it was easier to just fall back on a water starter instead.

I voted for Squirtle here because it was my first Pokemon ever and I have a special place for it <3 Also mega Blastoise is really unique and fun to use as well!

I picked Squirtle because I like turtles and it has hydro cannons strapped onto its back in its final evolution form. That's really badass in comparison to the other starters. To further cement its image, the mega evolved form gives it another cannon to use.
