Anything that:
1. Has line numbers
2. Syntax Highlighting
3. A decent Find/Replace
4. Supports php file formats
5. Isn't made by Microsoft

I usually use Dreamweaver but HTML-Kit works too, and I haven't tried much else...

Most of the programs have weird UIs that confuse me too much to really get into 'em.

So I just use wordpad.

I use HTML Kit for everything - HTML, PHP, CSS...I just really like the interface, plugins, code highlighting, etc.

I use Dreamweaver. I've grown up with it most of my life.

I've tried lots of things, WordPad, Frontpage, Dreamweaver, but really there's only one program for me: Notepad.

It's just so simple and clean and fast, honestly. It's like... no graphics whatsoever. Plus.. that's kinda how I learned to use HTML/make sites/whatever... So I've been using Notepad for years now. Yeesh.

I tend to use Dreamweaver for things that i cant be bothered to make using HTML, such as templates and such. But if im making a quick site that doedn't need to look good I use good old Notepad. The stuff we use at school sucks totally, it's called Serif Webplus 10, I don't particulaly (how ever it's spelled teehee) mind it but I would prefer not to use it. Maybe because I have never taken the time to learn how to use it...

I like Notepad. It's clean, simple and easy. Some things are annoying, like the lack of undo history and such, but really, syntax highlighting I just find rather distracting.

good ol notepad for me, shame in school we dont learn more html, i had to learn most of it myself :(

Please stay on-topic, guys. This thread's about which HTML editors you prefer - not where you learned HTML.
