    Soooo hey there. Thought I'd make an introduction thread before posting. I'm known simply as Limbo, at your service. (Frankly, I was surprised this username wasn't taken yet)

    I'm kind of a newcomer to Pokemon. I only became interested in it when Pokemon X and Y were released. The ads piqued my interest, so I took a look and became addicted. I hadn't really paid much attention to it before, but I can't believe I was missing out on this all these years. From there, I went on to play all the older games I could get my hands on. I thoroughly enjoyed most of them; even though they were older, I can appreciate retro games just as much as newer ones.

    Well, after completing all the games, I didn't really feel satisfied, so the solution was obvious: get immersed into the fandom. And so here I am! I staked this site out for a little while before joining, read the rules, checked out the various sections, etc. so I think I have a good grasp of what's up. I have plenty of experience with forums too.

    Out of all the areas here, I think the places that caught my interest most were Pokemon General and the Roleplay Corner. For the former, it seems perfect for talking about the Pokemon fandom as a whole, which is one of the reasons I'm here. For the second, I'm actually a roleplayer already; I've been RPing with several friends of mine in a group for a few years. The way people roleplay in the Roleplay Corner seems pretty similar, so I feel like it's a great fit for me.

    I'll probably head around and explore some more as well. But anywho, that's enough out of me. If anyone has any recommendations for other places to check out, I'd love to know!

    It's great that you're enjoying the pokemon games too! Out of the ones that you've played, which ones would you say are your favourites? Personally I enjoy playing Pokemon Emerald, as well as Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon Platinum. Still they're all really fun to play in their own way! And yes, I love playing the retro pokemon games as well. I still can't get enough of Pokemon Crystal and Pokemon Yellow. Ahh but i can't wait for the future pokemon games to see what they're all about. :3

    I'm really glad these forums have caught your eye; I was looking for a great pokemon forum to explore and chat about pokemon myself till I came stumbling on this forum, and it's been a great experience ever since! I hope that you will have an amazing time during your stay here!

    Ah, I go on the Roleplay Corner a lot! Maybe we can RP together sometime; right now I'm in a pokemon journey RP, and it's been a fabulous experience so far. Maybe there will be new ones coming soon that are just as fun! Pokemon General is a great section to chat about Pokemon indeed. There's also Pokemon Gaming Central if you want to dive into discussions about the games in general! But yes, feel free to explore on your on pace. <33

    Plenty of newer fans here as well as older ones so the community is friendly towards anyone. You've definitely been missing out but going back and playing all the older games almost makes it seem you've been into it for ages! Haha. Not being able to get enough of Pokemon is a huge part of why I'm here, too.

    Glad you're already finding nice places here you can settle into. ^_^ Always more where that came from so enjoy your time posting around and don't hesitate to chat with someone if you'd like to chat. See you!
     
    I have to say, I love that username and I was so surprised it wasn't taken yet. But it's a very good look on you so hopefully you'll be active so it doesn't go to waste.

    Anyhow, it's nice to have you around here nonetheless Limbo! From what I heard from what Robin already covered in his post and in yours as well it appears you're interested in the Roleplay Corner section whose mods are very fun and would love to see you around there. Pokemon General is really nice as well, but you can pretty much see tons of Pokemon discussions around the community. You seem to be new to the franchise as well, but I'm sure you'll learn so much about what happened prior to the current 6th Gen when you played your first games.
