Fire Emblem: New Adventures in Elibe

Reane managed a weak giggle, brushed the leaves off, and watching them fall to the ground, but otherwise stayed emotionless.
Finally, finding the right words, she said:
"Well.... Tear, after our 'journey', or perhaps during it, do you... Do you think we could... Look for my brother? We.... Don't have to, but I was just wondering... See, when the news arrived that my brother and mother were.... K-killed they-they never brought my br-brother's body back, just said he was dead, so I was thinking..."
Unable to control herself any longer, Reane burst out into silent tears, that dripped down her face.
Ashamed, or embaressed rather, she turned away, not wanting him to see any more tears.

Ayrix nodded to Drago. "I thank you, friend." He pulled the cork off of the glass bottle, soaked a rag in the substance, and stuck the rag up his shirt, dabbing the elixir on the burns on his chest. He grinned through the pain.

"Luckily it's not as bad as it could be...since it was my own attack it didn't do as much damage to me as it would have to an opponent." Drago, if you come over here with me, I'll explain what I know later tonight...I need some time to reflect, but you and the others will know. Now come, let's join Tear and Reane. They look like they could stand some company...

Ayrix got up and walked, using his broken staff for support, and walked over to Reane and Tear...

Then, drying some of her tears, Reane spoke again to Tear.
"I- I just thought he might still be alive... So...."
She sniffed, and closed her eyes.
No more tears. Tears won't do me any good.
"I- I'm sorry Tear.... I know I'm not making much sense right now..."
Turning around once more, she opened up her eyes, and slowly took off her purple colored hood, letting her whole face finally be revealed.

She's finally taken her hood off...maybe that means she's feeling better. I do hope so... thought Ayrix as he watched from a distance. The sun had almost completely set, and only Reane's silhouette was visible. Near her was Lord Tear, who was also merely a black silhouette on the grass except for his sword, which reflected the thin band of orange in the sky. Ayrix walked a few paces more toward them and sat down, giving Lord Tear a greeting nod as he sat...

"Reane....." he said, in a soft tone. He watched as tears fell from her face, darkening the ground on which it landed. He understood her plight...... he knew how it felt to lose a loved one..... he knew it all too well.
At a loss of words, he slowly but softly took her cold hand, hoping that the warmth of his could find its way in her. He looked at her solemnly, and began to speak.
"....I....I know how you feel. I lost my parents a very long time ago to a..... a monster. The pain I went through, though I was very young at the time, was too unbearable for words to explain."
He turned and looked into her sad, lonely eyes, it's reflection revealing that he was now on the verge of tears himself.

"We will find your brother. Someway, somehow, I know that together we can. I'm not sure if he will be alive when we do, but I will use all my strength to make sure that both you and your brother won't have to face the same horror again. I will stay at your side, until we achieve this. I promise you that."

Reane stared at him for a second, gratefully.
Managing to smile through tears, she felt a spark of some kind of warmth...
Of hope, happiness... And another thing unexplained, unknown to her.
He... He understood... I....
"Thank you, Tear. I.... I.... Thank you."
Saying this, she closed her eyes, then opened them again, some light finally finding it's way into her eyes.... And her heart.
"You've- you've helped me see clearly again. Thank you, Tear..."

Oni was now tired.

"Where the heck am I?" He panted. He's been searching for hours but found no sign of his friends. "Oh well, I'll rest first." He sat on the damp ground.

Tear felt a great burden lift from him, as he glanced into her eyes. He softly brushed his hand on the side of her face, as he smiled warmly.

"I'm happy..... to have been of help."

Just then, he glanced up and found that the moon was shiningly brightly overhead. He got up, and reached for his sword, putting it back in it's sheath.
He then looked back down at Reane, extending a hand for support.
"Let's go. It's getting really late."

She took it, standing up.
Letting go, and then untied her ribbon for the night, letting her hair hang down, loose, she looked up at the sky, which now had billions of stars littered across it.
"Wait, this reminds me of something..."
Gazing at the starry sky, she continued:
"I.... This might sound silly, but when I was a little girl, I used to go outside at night, with my mother... We'd.... Watch the stars... And dance, sometimes, under the whole glittering sky... It was... Wonderful..."
The girl trailed off, now looking down, but not before glancing up at the ink-black sky again.

Ayrix was beginning to set up a small encampment for himself. He was rolled up in his cloak and was waiting for the sky to go from grey to black so he could sleep, but from the corner of his eye he thought he saw Tear getting up.

We're not going to travel by night, are we? I suppose any place would be better than here though...that sage...he'll be back for me again, I know it. I'll tell them what I know tomorrow, but for now I think they're too occupied with other things to care... Ayrix watched Tear for a second once more, and then began to care less that they could possibly travel the night without sleep...he was exhausted, but he couldn't always expect to have halfway-comfortable nights. He yawned and rolled over on his side, laying in the dead grass, hoping that morning would come soon...

Oni was resting his head on his hands as he looked up at the sky...he remembered his family...he was orphaned and was just raised by the cheiftain...he didn't remember his parents...he wished he had... He sighed as he twirled his sword a bit playing with it while looking at the moon. The moon's rays reflected on his sword.

"I don't remember anymore why am I on this journey...anyway..." he thought.

Tear looked in amazement at her, as she spoke. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

Gosh, she really is like me.... he thought to himself.

"I used to do the same thing when I was a boy, back in Pherae. There was a really nice hill that I would lay on. Using the grass as my blanket, I would gaze at the stars."
He looked up at the night sky, his eyes gleaming with it's brilliance. He lifted his arm up, and, with his index finger, began making shapes in the sky.
"I would always do this, whenever I had the chance. I found that it was a really good way of relieving myself from any suffering I endured. I don't know what could've happened to me if I never learned this...."
He glanced down from the heavens, back at Reane.
"Maybe sometime, when all this is over, we could watch them together."

Reane tore her gaze from the skies, and nodded at Tear. "That would be.... Nice." She turned her attention back to the stars.
"It would... That year.... When I was eight and a half.... When my mother died... We never were allowed to go out and look at the stars again. My mother... Well, my father; he proposed to her.... Sitting on a bench in the gardens of Caelin... Under the stars. Her death... It had a great impact on him."

"Your father sounds like a strong man." He replied, also glancing back up. "To have the strength to go through something like that, and still be able to live on. I never really knew my father, or my mother, for that matter. I was raised by one of their most trusted friends. He was known throughout Pherae for his great swordsmanship. He passed on much of his skill to me...... he loved me like a son."
Noticing now that the rest of the company was getting to sleep, he turned around.
"Well, we have another long day ahead of us tommorow. We really should be off to bed. It's been really nice, being able to talk to you like this."
He began to walk off toward the campsite, but not without one final look at the stars. He was able to make out a bench, with two people sitting closely, next to one another. He smiled, and wandered back off to camp.

"You wanted to see me Ayrix?" Drago said setting up his tent.
"I'm free for now."
Drago Set up dinner and Ate some..

Reane smiled, the light of the stars making her eyes sparkle.
He.... Understood... But not only that...
"The same with you." Staying for another split second, she threw one last glance at the stars, then followed Tear to the camp.

Drago watched the stars with Reane.
"Reane..... My Father,Mother and brother died a year ago... They were strong like me now but one day... An evil organization came and desrooyed our home... But I survived I didn't know what to do Until I met you,Lord tear and Ayrix."
Drago Had tears coming out of his Eyes.... The tears of joy.

Tear smiled at her and walked to the center of camp, to find a pile of scraps from a hurried meal.
"Oh," Tear said, groaning, and rubbing his stomach. "I guess we forgot all about dinner!"
He laughed, as he surveyed his friends sleeping out in the grass.

Reane laughed with him. "I guess so." The girl suddenly remebered the biscuits she had recieved earlier.
OOC: Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't remember if it was crackers or biscuits, etc... XD
BIC: "Oh, wait, here." She knelt down, her azure hair falling in waves over her, and pulled out the biscuits, then stood up, and over two to Tear.

OOC: I think they were biscuits, hehe...

He nodded, and gratefully accepted the food that was being offered to him. He chewed them happily, and began taking off some of his gear.
