[Other] Fire Red intro sprites question

    Hey so I'm making a fire red hack with my buddy but we're stuck on changing the intro sprites. We've watched tons of tutorials but nothing seems to be very helpful for what we want. For example, we have an image for the male that I think should work fine (just to make sure though, what's the max numbers you can have in the palette?), and we can actually get the image in there by exporting the old sprite and overwriting it with the new one, but the color is way messed up. Assuming my image is okay (maybe someone can verify that), does anyone have just a few straightforward steps to help me out? Thanks!
