I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the tool i need to open the cartridge is, Also sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, if anyone can help i would really appriciate it

Well, if you don't want to order a specialized screwdriver online, you can force the thing open with a pair of needlenose pliers. That's what I did with my Gold Version cart, and it worked fine.

yeah, thing is id prefer not damaging the cartridges, i mean just looking at them brings back memories, especially crystal version, so im trying to find out what the screwdriver is called

A screwdriver like in this video should do the trick.

Probably would have to chip the end of a flathead screwdriver to achieve that.

Either that, or a tool designed specifically for opening that kind of screws, though I don't know if they can be easily found.

The replacement coin cell for gen I and gen II games are CR2025, but you can buy a CR2032 (which will last longer because it has more juice) and install that instead. It's a little bit taller but it still fits inside the cartridge.
