After the sixth badge. You have to do all this stuff before you can go to mossdeep city. You have to do the Mt.pyre crap. Then you have to go to Maxies second hideout in mt.chimney. '

Then there is team aquas hideout in lilycove. Doesnt sound like a lot. But it takes a while. Then after your seventh badge. You have to do all this underwater diving stuff. Beforey ou can get the last badge.

Personally I find it boring. Because for the next hour or so. All you fight is level 30 poochyenas, zubats, carnavhas, numels and Baltoys...

Well, it's an extension of R/S. I suppose if you have either Ruby or Sapphire, you'd know the plot, you know what's going to happen. You'd get bored of it.

Would anyone who doesn't have R/S find Emerald appealing?

Hehe, actually, the most annoying thing for me is crossing the sea path to Pacifdlog for the first time... all those pushy swimmers :rolls eyes:

I hate that part too...I skip most of the trainer that arent in the way of the story it cuts the time in 1/3 maybe

yeah, its extremely boring.i just beat the elite 4 like 100 times,i've been to the battle tower like a million times last summer,so i started the game over, my torchic is now a level 10,but i transfered all of my strong/rare pokemon, like my shiny beuatifly(its gold)

I hate that part where you have to battle those swimmers! It takes so muhc time. But as we said before, it's an extension of R/S. So if you get bored of it don't play it becuse its suppose to be fun. OR just get it overwith, thats what I ALWAYS do for everything I do. Like don't think about how boring it is, try to think that its fun, then maybe you'll get through it easier. * 100TH POST YEAH!*

    Aw, don't be like that ^^; The game is still fun, it's just that that one part is so long and monotonous, it's bound to get boring fast. I mean, how can you have fun floating around, interrupted by tentacools at every SECOND and then having people throw pokeballs with... yah, TENTACOOLS at you all over again. And maybe a starmie or a gyarados if you're lucky ^^; It's good for training electric pokies, though ^^;

Emerald actually bored me all the way untill I reached the Battle Frontier. I agree that that part was the most boring part of the game, though.
what i think is boring is when the whole game is finished and u have all the silver badges and u can't beat them again so u never get the gold badges.
If you aren't good enough to beat the Frontier Brains a second time, it's your movesets, Pokémon, EVs, Natures or all the things on that list that is your problem. Don't go blaming the game creators for that. <.< I personally enjoy the challenge.

Mind you, sometimes getting to the Frontier Brains is the real challenge (especially around the Battle Pike and the Battle Pyramid).
Ironic, isn't it, that does two are the ones I have absolutely no problem with. O.o

The Battle Dome is the hardest for me. Someone always beats me because of Double Team, Brithpowder, a critical hit etc just before the battle with Tucker. <.<

My Gardevoir got haxed by exactly the same Walrein two times in a row. I use two Calm Minds, then my Thunderbolt misses because the Walrein has a Bright Powder and the Walrein's third Earthquake KOs my Gardevoir. <.<

Luckily, I had my Swampert as a backup in the first battle, but in the next one, Dodrio had already been KOed by the previous Pokémon when I sent out Gardevoir.

Heh, I found the Battle Dome the easiest, that's the only one I have a Gold Symbol in (I have a Sceptile, Tucker has a Swampert, do the math). The Battle Pike is essentially not that hard, just make sure you have something to take on the wild Pokemon there, something to handle trainer encounters, and something to deal with status effects. Starmie rocks cos he can do all three, Natural Cure is godly.

The Battle Pyramid is a little more difficult, cos you need to tailor you team to the wild Pokemon out there. The trainers aren't so bad, since they only hold one Pokemon each, and you can find and use items.

EDIT: For evasion hax issues, a daily dose of Aerial Ace keeps the hax at bay. Salamence does this job nicely with Dragon Dance :-)

It might be boring, but if it wasn't there you would go straight to gyms one after the other which would make the game easier ans quicker to comlete.

You might find it boring because it near enough the same as the sapphire and ruby games, which you have properly done befor.

Well that part is just boring because you have to fight Magma and Aqua. It would be much more interesting if they didn't have THE SAME LAME POKEMON EVERY TIME!!! Grrrr...the evil guys need to be worked on...

Uhh what are we supposed to do about it? change the game to make it more interesting?

How about giving the Aquas and Magmas more variety.

Hell even in-game trainers have more variety than them two Dimwits they call "evil organizations"...
