All the good Spyware Killing things cost money and the ones that don't are lacking in every way. My Adaware picked up no spyware and I ran my free trial version of Spyware Doctor and it picked up like a 100. My friend has told me that Microsoft Defender is the best one out there, anyone else want to clarify that?

I use a combination of Ad-Aware SE and Spybot and I make out fairly well. You might want to use Spyware Blaster to block the spyware from installing too.

I have Windows Defender, and it's good at scanning the boot record for problems. However, I use Spybot more often as it's familiar with spyware traces and checks for signatures, and therefore faster.

The Spybot/Ad-Aware SE comob is usually effective. I back that up in secondary with Windows Defeneder, I have not seen anything spectular out of it yet, and Spyware Doctor, good for rarer spyware but costs money. I also sit behind a ZoneAlarm firewall and Norton Anti Virus. Oh ya, Firefox to.
