    hi I was wandering if you could make a VB forums for free or if you could download it free cuzz if it puts ads on the top kinda like serebii's then you shouldn't have to pay I don't think it's kinda like proboards but anyway is their cuzz i'm on the website now so can someone tell me how if you can?
     
    VB is not free.It is 100$ a month I think.If it is free,that's illegal,and you will and can be sued if you steal it.
     
    You can't download a vB for free or get one for free lol,Well it would be illegal anyways,here go to vBulletin.com If you really want one,they are 160.00,and if you don't wanna pay doamin and all that get ads that pay,kinda like PPn,but your site has to be good and have alot of hits,good luck!
     
    vB is far from free.

    And the ads at Serebii's are put in by Serebii. They're to help pay for the server and stuff.
     
    If you want, you can download vBulletin Lite, which was discontinued several years ago, but I don't see why anybody in their right mind would do that...
     
    You can use Mybb, phpBB, XMB, and SMF which are all free. Check this thread.

    actually, it is $85 for a 1 year license, and $165 for a lifetime license with 1 year of updates. And IF you are caught with a nullified license, they will give you 3 days before they contact your webhost.

    Nope, IPB is more expensive than VB...IPB is $199 for a lifetime license.
    Which is stupid, really, because VB>>>>>>>>>>>>>IPB in every way. =/

    That uses an old version of IPB which was free. For a vB type forum use www.mybb.com which is free.
     
    I saw a site with vbulletin.but im not going to post it.because i think it was illlegal.
     
    Why is vbulletion > invision? I always liked invision better, personally. Are there reasons other than just preference of layout etc.?

    I get invision boards free with my hosting however, which rules. It also has easy phpbb installation... if you're stupid I guess. Personally I hate phpbb, I'm an admin at the official netbattle forums and it seems terribly buggy, although there are a bunch of unnecessary mods installed as well.
