Lol, No I like the white but the white just goes to far to the right.

It's dynamic empty space! In fact, you can extend the white further, maybe half the image, and have one lone tendril creeping across! With your name small at the bottom just beneath the tendril!

Or maybe this is just my love of lighting effects.

The white is a little excessive, but I love it simply for the fact that it gives the banner some class. It fits in nicely with the banner... if there was to be less white, the banner would be a little... you know... busy?
