Munich, Germany, 1923. Two years have passed since Edward Elric was dragged from his own world to ours, leaving behind his country, his friends and his younger brother, Alphonse. Stripped of his alchemical powers, he has been all this time researching rocketry together with Alphonse Heiderich, a young man who resembles his own brother, hoping to one day find a way back home. His efforts so far had proven fruitless, but after lending a hand to a troubled gipsy girl, Edward is thrown in a series of events that can wreak havoc in both worlds. Meanwhile, at his own world, Alphonse Elric ventures deeper into the mysteries of alchemy in search for a way to reunite with his older brother.

We are talking about the Movie of FullMetal Alchemist.
I watched this the day before yesterday. With one word it was "Art". I can't describe it better. Be warned that you're going to find spoilers on this topic so don't read it if you haven't watched the movie yet. The music of the movie was really on-topic. Especialy its ending the "Lost Heaven" by L'arc~en~Ciel was...

    Contains Spoilers!!

The movie was great. It was nice seeing the brothers reunited and everything, and for once get a happy (at least somewhat happy) ending. I felt kinda bad for Winry though.

Oh yeah. I'm sure others have noticed it by now. Even in the series, they used allegories to the Holocaust.

    I loved the movie!
I remember there was a countdown for it going around xanga,....the days were counting down.. it was cool. Mine started at around 860, I believe... when it finally came out I was really happy. ^^
I won't say too much about it, due to spoilers, but I really loved it.
I also heard that the second FMA series is gonna take place after the movie, and start where it left off...

It's supposed to not follow any of the manga since it'd be hard to undo the stories in the anime to fit the manga now. But talks for the second series are still just starting.

There's gonna be a second series for FMA now? O.O

Oh and I thought the movie was better than the ending in the Final Episode.

Even though I had yucky subs on my Vid..I can still comprehend what they're saying.

Nope undfortunately not. Even if I'm not sure myself that an official announcement has been made, they would be moner-grabbers #$$*&^%*^&* (since I can't swear here) if they would make a continue. The end of movie was ABSOLUTE PERFECT. In no way would it continue. I know that this feels bad but that the bad truth :'( We're lucky though, that the Manga is different from anime so we can see a continue. ;)

Maybe they'll just pull an EOE. Actually, the ending wasn't 'perfect'. I would've done one major thing different, but I won't say what it is to avoid spoilers.

Actually though, what I've been hearing is that if there is a second FMA series (big if), it probably won't be called 'Fullmetal Alchemist' anymore. It'll still star the Elrics and everything (WTF, I know) but it won't carry the same name.

Anyway, these are all just rumors anyway, so I'm not really assuming much yet. I actually hope they don't 'officially' continue FMA because they can leave that up to FanFics.

Ehh the movie was good, I liked how it tied into history, but not exactly what I expected...x___X Could've been a little better, and more Roy.....Much more Roy.....x_X

I downloaded it, but it was some crappy tv version.
(Filmed off the tv with a camera...)
So I can't tell if I like it or not.

But I REALLY want to see it...

It's never aired on TV, it was probably a cam version from the theater run.

^Yeah, that sounds like thats what it could have been. I saw it the other day on youtube. It was in japanese, and the subtitles were completely impossible to read, but besides that, it was ok. It could have been better though..
