    Wow pretty interesting and cool concept
    Seems to have lot of potential
    Well the professor looks wierd better if he was a real human(he is alien right?)
    I choosed fire and also got carbon(Atom ic bond as ability)

    The professor is actually a human that lost his body in a science experiment gone bad. The goal of the game is to find info on how to turn him back to normal.

    Tbh, I'm just terrible at drawing humans, I just don't like drawing them at all, so the game won't have many if any of them. The cast and crew will mostly comprise of fusimon, aliens and robots.

    I can understand that it may be a turn off, but I'm hoping people can treat the professor as a self insert character.

    When you say you got a carbon, do you mean you started off with a carbon in addition to the fire? Very strange, I'll try replicate it.

    I did find it very easy so far, but I imagine you're still playing around with balancing and difficulty.

    The game is indeed very easy at the moment. I am still experimenting with how to maximise the battle system, it's currently very open ended so I can get some feedback on what's the best direction to take it.
    • Limit the amount of summons
      • Increase summons per round
      • Increase summons for every level-up
    • Allow enemies to attack back
      • Using an attack/ability ends turn ends, and the opponent can do their turn
    • Time limit
      • Must eliminate all monsters within a time limit
    • Disable ability regeneration
      • Currenlty, when your fusimon runs out of ability charges, they'll enter a recovery where they'll restore a charge after a set amount of time.
      • This obviously makes the battle system very easy atm. Can disable that, or extend it.

    Major update has been released.

    I've finally done the thing I've been slacking on, which is adding enemy AI.
    As of today, the enemies in fusimon will actually act!

    Ive changed how the battle system works. Now, the ability recharging isn't on a time based cool down, rather a turn based cool down. Every time you attack/special, you'll recovery a small amount of energy.

    In addition, the enemies also have their own energy. When their one reaches max, they'll use one of their abilities. Their energy recoveres whenever you move, attack or use an ability.

    This turns the battle system into a rapid turn based grid battle system. And it actually feels kinda complete. All I need to add is abilities to all the creatures.

    Thank you! Chess based puzzle is an interesting way of describing it, I'll have to use that in the future lol.
     
    New Update:
    Added abilities for all hybrids - the ability system has been expanded to all hybrids. soon, every fusimon will have abilities.
    Revamped stats for all fusimon - focused more on a more gradual increase in power.
    Enemy energy charging now depends on how many enemies on the board. (more enemies = each enemy slower)

    Design updates for some fusimon, including the plant/ground.
    I'm very happy with how these have turned out :D
