does the game save to the pokemon cartridge or to the nintendo DS console. Im thinking about getting a different DS but i dont wanna loose my game. Ne info would be appreciated

Yes and no :P (if that makes any sense).
While the actual game data saves in the cartridge, the Wireless Internet information for that specific game cartridge is stored in the DS (where your access point is, which router you use etc). This isn't the end of the world though. All this means is you'll have to set up your Wireless Internet connection again, which only takes about 2 minutes. (That is, if you even use the Wireless Internet). After that you're good to go!

all will be the same, you just need to reset the wifi

The game itself, I think, remains in the cartridge, so you don't have anything to worry about :)

But I think that Wireless Trade etc. information is stored in the DS. You know, when you had to go through that harassing process to confirm Internet accessibility or something. *confused*
