I had no idea Medicham was a Fight/Psychic type. Its an interesting combination. I dont know if putting special move on it is a good idea. Because of its "pure power" ability.

SO what do you guys think? I have read Medicham is good for a BPer , Physical and Special Sweeper.

    Serebii Suggested:
    Brick Break
    Shadow Ball
    Rock Slide or HP rock
    Fake out

In this case... Serebii was right.
EVs should go in Speed and attack, then slap a Choice Band on it. It will be one heck of a sweeper.

A Baton Pass set with Ice Punch/Fire Punch/Thunderpunch/Psychic, Sub/Ice Punch/Fire Punch/Thunderpunch/Psychic/Recover, Baton Pass and Calm Mind might work too.

A Bulk Up passer is also an option, but the CB set is by far the most useful, imo.

    MEDICHAM @ Salac Berry
    Pure Power

    Substitute/Endure
    Reversal
    Rock Slide/Shadow Ball
    Focus Punch/Rock Slide/Shadow Ball/Bulk Up

Highest unboosted attack in the game. (480 something, If I'm not mistaking...)
There's of course your CB set.
It can also become a Subpuncher or use the Endure/Reversal combo (with a giant attack and a great power move, he rocks). Bulk up helps, but it's beaten by Heracross with Swords Dance.
The special Medicham and the BPer both suck, as Medicham doesn't have the defense, special defense or any resistances to survive a BU or a CM, and thus Recover is also worthless.

You guessed right. BU is Bulk Up.

Medicham does have the highest unboosted Attack in the game, starting off at 482, and growing to a monster 723 with Choice Band. Killer for anything with low Defence, especially if you figure in Fake Out.

Not even a thick club Marowak could get that high O_O

*breaks out Ruby and goes for Meditite*

Actually Marowak, has higher Max attack than Medicham. I was wrong. With the thick club and belly drum.

    Marowak=Highest Attack in the game

Baton pass it some Agility, Marowak will seriously Molest people. THen with rock head it can pull off some dangerous moves such as double edge.

    Its MAx is 284

284x2=568 Then with thick club and belly drum its attack is multiplied by 8.

    284x8=2272

    O_o

Yeah, Wak is higher with Thick Club, but Medicham doesn't need TC to have hefty Attack. That's what I meant by 'unboosted'.

BPing some speed to Thick Club Wak is as old as GSC, when the combo known as Joltwak was feared. You had Jolteon passing Agility and Substitute to Wak. Nowadays, the same combo can be pulled off slightly easier with Ninjask, who also can give Swords Dance as well as Speed Boost and Sub. Like most BPing strategies, it's deadly if you can pull it off, and not so bad if you can't, since Marowak has a fairly low Sp Def and falls easily to an Ice, Water or Grass move.

Medicham cant even use thick club. Only cubone and marowak can.

Besides, when you think about it. 480 is really a boost. Its max is really 240 but because of pure power, the attack is doubled as soon as it gets on the feild

Enyce, use smogon for movesets. Their analysis and strategies are generally more detailed and varied than serebii's: https://www.smogon.com/advance/medicham/strategy

Medicham is awesome as a physical sweeper, always a force to be reckoned with. It's an Okay BPer but only in a BP chain. It sucks as a special sweeper though. It doesn't have the defenses to pull off more than 1 or 2 Calm Minds before getting killed, nor the speed to actually hit hard and fast. No way comparable to something like Alakazam.

Lol. I didn't know the number 3 made such a difference to you.

Anyway, CB Adamant Medicham kicks hard. I wouldn't do Fake Out with CB because you'd have to keep using that move.

Fake Out is the standard on Medicham. And you don't have to keep doing that because Medicham is a hit-an-run Pokemon. Hit their starter with Fake Out, then switch out to an appropriate counter. Works wonders on Ninjask, Jolteon, and any Pokemon that would normally be faster than you.
