Halo 3 Achievement Game?

    Hi all, I recently completed halo 3 on legendry and started thinking about working up to getting a katana. For those of you who don't know this can only be gotten by getting every halo 3 achievement. The problem is getting some of these are next to impossible. Thats why i wanna organise a game where everyone involved can get a load of achievements. Ive already started thking it out, as an example a quick method of getting a lot of medals would be.
    Everyone stands in a line and 1 person shoots the spartan lazer through them. Medals achieved: Double Kill, Triple Kill, Overkill, Killtacular, 2 for 1, Killing Spree
    So yeah, just that one shot could get you 6 medals!
    Itinery is now complete, and will allow for every FFA medal to be obtained over 3-4 games. When the roster is full it will be mailed to you all.

    So, you're going to cheat in a game to get silly achievements?

    Honestly, I've thought about doing that. It just is not as rewarding as doing it yourself. I got my Overkill Achievement as I was walking out of the door to go to lunch. It's really much better to do it yourself. You sort of defeat the purpose of achievements when you cheat to get them. Achievements are meant for you to work hard to get, not whine that it's too hard and give up/cheat to get them.

    Obviously I'm not going to be able to stop you. Seeing as I'm just a guy on the internet, but I'd think twice before wasting the fun of getting those achievements. I know they're frustrating, but once you get them, you'll be glad.

    Klippy: Normally I'd agree with you, but ive been at it since november and i've never come close. I'd rather get the difficult ones out the way so i can concentrate on enjoyin the game rather than getting frustrated when the 4 person i need to kill runs off. Frankly i have a lot of respect for people like you who persevere, but my short attention span won't let me :)
     
    I understand and have also had the game for awhile now. Believe me, I've sat frustrated several nights in a row trying to get some of the achievements. Finally getting them is quite a relief.

    So, like I said, even though it's frustrating, getting through it legitimately is a lot better.
     
    Meh, we'll see. Overkill's the one i wanna get out the way.

    im not trying to brag or be mean, but its really not that hard to get all the achievements. just time consuming and takes some luck. you probably wont get some of the online achievements if you're concentrating on getting it. i guess it's some Karma thing. I got the harder achievements when i wasnt expecting them. just be patient, and you'll get them eventually. I got my spartan laser double kill during zombie night on halloween last year, and my overkill during a KotH game.
     
    I agree with what you're saying, but i'd rather just get the hard ones now. A level revision has taken over my life atm so i dont have time to sit and veto until a swords of KotH come up. Like ive said to klippy, i respect people who try hard and get them fairly, but all i want is the ninja sword lol
     
    the katana isnt that great anymore cause pretty much everyone has it. its like the hayabusa helmet. it was awesome till everyone had it. then it wasnt special anymore

    You do know that most online achievments for halo 3 are on loneworlves only? and no parties can enter lone wolves.
     
    No but you can set games to find friends only, so if we all register each other then we can get in

    Hmmm... well seeing as i would love to have the katana armor... just to say i have it. Well... I am down... and maybe i can get a friend of mine to join in as well

    If you'd care to read the thread, these games are really aimed at helping people who dont have time to commit to getting the achievements. I only come on this site when im doing coursework, because i get a LOT of it. I can really only get in 1 or 2 games of halo a night, and I'd rather enjoy that time instead of getting frustrated when that last person i need for an overkill doesnt turn up. I'd rather get them out the way in one go, and spend time looking at my katana :)
