Do you like animals more, or humans?

I honestly much prefer the company of animals. I get nervous around people, even talking to friends and family can become awkward for me, yet I always feel at ease with a pet dog or a cat, or just watching birds flying in the sky, fish swimming.

I respect our planet's wildlife, they can beautiful and interesting to view and learn about, and they are better at taking care of the planet than we are, bees pollinating plants so that fruits, vegetables and flowers grow, or beavers creating ponds and wetlands with their dams that can help sequester carbon and creating habitats for fish, frogs, insect, and also lessen flood damage and pollution.

Also, while I think animals and their social structures are more complex than we give them credit for, I also like that life isn't overly complicated with an animal companion either, they're not going to lie or try to control you, they love unconditionally, or with very small conditions like feed them every day, and in return they might just lay down their life for you.

Humans or animals?

Hm... this is not as easy of a question as I thought. Well, I do like animals more, indeed. They are cuddly (dogs), silly (cats), sick and badass by design (centipedes), cool and chill (spiders and tarantulas), gentle and naive (cows), magnificent (fishes) and much more! (Understands that they may have more than or none of the listed traits. Only lists what felt closely observed in a pet, though). As ya mentioned, they won't try to lie (ironic of me heh), control or, most important for me, abandon ya usually... The former two are really huge by themselves but the latter really seals the deal with them... Just need a companion till death does us apart :( And this is coming from someone who is loud, usually blends/get along just fine with people, family or friends... In the end, at least for the much I have been on this planet, I have felt it's usually hard to keep people... Things happen, we go separate ways... Not true for animals though. And they are calm/fun to watch/interact with, even at minimal efforts. In the end, Animals do way better. Well then, why did I call this question not easy? That's because in the end, I do feel I would need ONE human in my life... there's something animals cannot really fill, sadly... and in that case, I might end up putting my partner first...but yeah, in general I prefer animals so I vote for them.

Side note: PLANTS FTW!! Just seeing them grow and keep blooming, despite being restricted to one spot... it's wholesome and inspiring, they are my Sun!!! I have to put Plants even above animals not gonna lie, they are even chiller than animals, and really motivating!!! Sweet plants... Who knew I could be grass type at heart heh?

For me, being autistic offers me a much stronger connection to animals than humans. I feel like animals won't judge you for things you do and will love you no matter what you are going through and whatever your faults are. So, I went with animals. :3

I can definitely relate to this! As far as humans or animals go... I'm vouching for humans! Animals are actually not the best for me since I feel like they distract me easily and can act in ways I don't expect, whereas humans... Well, at least the ones I trust and that I have as friends, are able to make me feel a lot more comfortable 💕

Oo well indeed, so true Princess!! If it's one of my loved ones, I would definitely choose them over animals too!! (Hence the "I would put my partner above animals" heh)

I'd pick animals. Or some of them anyway, I don't need to be in the company of piranhas and hornets and such. Never have to worry that any animal will ever think that genocide, fascism, capitalism, etc is totally fine. No animal is ever going to tell me that my rights should be taken away.

This. I'm also autistic (and a weirdo fangirl, we are twinning so hard rn) and find it's so much easier for me to be with animals than with people. People do fill a void that animals cannot, which is deep conversation and connection over shared interests. For instance, I can't name an animal that would come before my writing buddy or my husband. But humans are so complex, often with ulterior motives, and are willing to ghost you/be disloyal. It's very, very difficult to find a really good friend who loves you for you, doesn't judge, wants to help you grow as a person, and provides that deep meaningful connection.

So I ultimately choose animals for their good companionship and the ease of the relationship. No hidden demands, no judgments, unconditional love (well, except in the case of some cats, I suppose 😂), and they're usually quieter which is great for my sensory sensitivities to noise. People talk too much 😂 (she said, after leaving a wall of text)
