Heart gold randomizer question

    Hey guys I'm about to start a heartgold shinylocke (shiny nuzlocke), I have randomized my 3 starters.

    I want to know if you can see their shiny sprite in the machine when you choose from the 3 starters like you can with cyndaquil, chikorita, and totodile.

    I assumed you can, but after hearing rhyhorn, larvitar, and horsea emitting the johto starters cries I'm double guessing

    I checked 2 separate larvitars, they have different natures.

    I cannot find any information on Google about this specific question. I thought this would be the most knowledgeable place, thanks I'm advance
