3rd Gen help me?

ok, me and my friend have been trying to trade a duskkull (lv 27) for a slakoth (lv 17), it doesnt seem to want to work. I tried two old trading things my brother has, didnt work, my friend let me burrow his SP trading thing (were using SP's) still nothing. can some one help us?

i forgot to tell you guys:
were playing sapphire and ruby, do you need the same game to trade?

This should be in the simple questions and answer thread. Remember that next time. Anyway, no, Ruby and Sapphire will trade just fine. Make sure that you're using a GBA link cable and you're talking to the correct person. If your link cable is the standard one that Nintendo released, then the "leader" will have the purple end and the other will have the gray one. Talk to the lady that has the two GBAs link together in front of her and you should be okay. I honestly can't think of anything you could be doing wrong.
