..I beat the elite four in 2 tries.
    2.
    Want to know how?
    ...I'll tell you anyway.
When you get your starter pokemon..Focus only on it.
My suggestions:Blaziken, Blastoise, Typhlosion, and Empoleon.
    After the 1st gym...
    lvl 13...
    after 2nd..
    lvl 19
    after 3rd...
    lvl25
    after 4th...
    lvl31
as you know, this is freakishly overpowered.
....my blaziken beat an all flying type gym, with some difficulty.
    OOOH.
My Infernape beat an all ground ELITE FOUR, and she even had some water attacks, which would own a NORMAL starter...
my strategy took me through the whole game, easy.
i've beat the following with this strategy:sapphire, emerald, going well with crystal, and diamond.
    ....
try this and see if it works.
it doesn't need proving though, tried it myself..=p
NOTE: this will NOT work in competitive battles. use it for the npc's ONLY, if you don't like getting PWNT.
edit:Um... Could a mod move this to pokemon general?

well I wouldn't be surprised that this works, I'd like to say that why bother? that just take alot of the fun out of the game, and since your starter is going to be freakishly LV'd it'll just make training it later on, seem more drawn out, and one shotting most battles..no thrill.

I usually do keep my start Pkmn some between 1 to 5 LVs higher then the rest of my crew while I'm doing the first play through and such, but any more then that just leave the rest feeling under leveled to me and just a burden...

...Well, I've seen a lot of people having trouble with the elites and such, so I decided to make this small strategy guide...
    ..One shotting is thrilling. =p
    ....Yeah.
I keep all my HM pokemon with me at all times.
that's what it does for you..
but I don't use that strategy anymore.
    I...-sob- traded my starter pokemon..
it was a female starter pokemon...
    -cries loudly-
    even though I have a di-cry-ditto...
    -Runs to room crying-
at least I have my Girat-GIRATINA....-CRY- -CRY- -CRY-
    I TRADED MY GIRATINA!!
    -Cries for 7 hours-
......at least I have a Zapdos....
    Whatever........
I'm just trying to help...(for all you know)
you don't "train" your starter pokemon at this point.
you just ONLY use it ( =
    they're not a burden..
    they're HM slaves. =p

One shotting IS thrilling, but doing it to like 85% of the Pkmn take the thrill out of it
HMs depending on which I'll teach to my crew i use for fighting, other I just pull out a pkmn that has it when I need it

also why trade your starter away, especially if its a female AND you have a ditto? you could of just breaded an egg and traded it up a bit for trading...

I didn't know Blaziken was in G/S. O.o;; Especially Empoleon dude.

I suggest raising a team of six average strong pokemon with a bench of revives and full restores. That gets me through the elite four even on the most rainy days.

What are you talking about? Empoleon and Blaziken, they're not even in pokemon gold, pokemon silver, and pokemon crystal.

Seems cool I guess I'll try it!

    ...That's...
this is a strategy for all the games..

    Those are the suggested pokemon....

Strategy? I see no strategy in this, really.

    ..That's why it's a strategy.
    I'm just trying to help,
    sheesh.
It worked for me, every game.
There's no reason it won't work for anyone else.
    ..................
It's a strategy, because it's not a strategy, it's just chargin' in screaming "CHA!" in a high pitched voice.....
    Did that make sense?

There is no point to this thread. A Magikarp using Tackle owns in game. If you need dire strategy to win ingame, you should train and become better because you'll get slaughtered against friends/wifi/shoddy.

my favourite Anti-elite 4 move is Giga drain. i use milktank, Zen headbutt rock and body slam. plus milkdrink heals her right up.vi wish you could get boy milktanks :(

This is a useful stratergy for when you want to get to a certain area in the game, so that you can catch a certain pokemon and trade it across to your desired game. It speeds up the process massivley if you're only bothered about trading the desired pokemon you want to obtain. However this also allows you to train up a pokemon, say Bulbasaur in Blue to an Elite standard so that then you can trade it to a newer version and it'll be levelled up ready for use as Venusaur and can blend in with your team nicley. :cheeky: It's not really cheating, it's putting the other games to another use. Nintendo should be proud that the older games still get played regardless of how

I used to do this to get Meowth in my Blue game and trade it to my Silver because I was impatient to find it on the desired route, plus I hadn't got that far anyway. Also I used to get my Blastoise combined with my Feraligatr, lethal water type duo!

All in all, yes this thread may not have any relevance, but those who weren't aware of this can now try it. ;)

Me too! I always use my starter in every battle! I got it all the way to Level 89 this way!
BTW, my starter was Cindaquil on Gold
