Hey guys, what's your favorite Pokemon game?

It's a tough choice for me, but main games wise? I love the gameboy advance games/ds games the most.

Spin-off games, definitely Mystery Dungeon!

I agree that it is tough and I think my favorite old school game is Ruby as that was my first Game that I could understand. But With the DLC's added I'm loving Scarlet a lot in part due to the large roster of pokemon you can collect.

For me, it's a tie between Platinum and Leaf Green. While Platinum was the better game story and content wise (not to mention fixing most of the minor issues I had with D/P), Leaf Green was also an excellent game, and it scores bonus points for starrring the best character in this entire franchise.

Ruby & Sapphire :)))

B2W2, fantastic story, amazing pseudo-3D graphics and sprite work, loads of incredibly unique side-modes like PokeStar Studios while still having really challenging battles; it pretty much nails every part of what makes up a good Pokemon game.

Possibly blinded by nostalgia but GSC would have to be mine. I also love HGSS, especially with the addition of following Pokémon, but they do feel more "cartoony" in comparison. HGSS also dropped the room-decoration feature. Minor, but I enjoyed it. Also, connecting w/ Stadium 2 was far more entertaining than connecting to Battle Revolution. (HGSS did have mini-games of their own, but the PokéAthlon ain't my jam.)

In terms of story, my vote would probably go to BW.

Mine's always been Platinum, I'm very biased towards the game I grew up with. But it's one I've played so many times throughout my life, especially whenever I've been having a hard time, so it's just a really special piece of media in general to me. Emerald and both Black/White and their sequels are fantastic games I love a lot as well, but I especially think Sun/Moon and the Ultra games are ones I could easily and lovingly spend hundreds of hours on. If I was ever stuck having to play any of those I'd easily enjoy myself.

Very hard. Gens 3 to 5 plus ORAS come to mind, but my opinion on my favorite game changes often. I think as of right now I'll have to say RSE which is why I loved ORAS so much. If there's one pokemon game that left a huge impression on me it would have to be Mystery Dungeon Red/Blue Rescue Team though.
