Have you seen any glitches? If so, post them here!

I found a glitch in the Slowpoke cave thing in the last room. You can use strength on the rock and push them over the water.

Are you sure that's actually a glitch, or just a change they did to Strength itself? (After all, the game also allows you - and requires you - to push them down holes, so maybe they just added that for an extra sense or realism?)

Hueg list of glitches, some fun, some dangerous:

    DANGEROUS
    - Putting your DS to sleep mode after quitting a Battle Video and while the Battle Recorder is still shutting down.
    - Putting your DS to sleep mode while fighting with Suicune.

The two glitches will make your save data show a black screen upon loading.
The only way to fix it is to bring it to a Nintendo Support Centre.

    Dangerous
    - Using Pursuit on a switching Pokemon while there is a weather effect active. Same glitch as Platinum, will make your current battle very buggy,

    - Checking your partners Pokemon in Multi-Battle at the Battle Tower, and pressing "B" while the message, 「つよさをみる」 is showing. It'll freeze the game.

    - In the area with Articuno, there is a ladder on its right. DO NOT climb it from the back, or you'll be stuck in a black area of nothingness. Climb it from the front to avoid this bug.

    Kinda annoying, nothing too bad
    - HGSS has environment sounds, and sometimes they get locked. This happens when you Fly to an area with the same BGM while in range of an object that generates environment sound.

    - Touch screen gets locked when talking to Oak at Pallet. Only happens when you try to move while his message window is showing.

    - Slowpoke Well Strength bug, as mentioned earlier.

    - In the Unown Note, "!" gets registered even if you capture "?" first. "?" gets registered is you capture a "!" afterwards.

    - Some pixels missing. See the moonspeak wiki if you are interested, there are a few.

    - Daycare Woman tells you the same info twice, if only one of two Pokemon at the daycare has leveled up.

    - After contracting Pokerus for the first time, your lead Pokemon being dead, and going to the Pokemon Centre: For some reason, your second Pokemon will be following you, but it'll be treated as your lead Pokemon. Bug will be gone after switching screens.

    Typos
    - Text for Gooey Mulch and Damp Mulch switched in the instore explanation. Not much of an issue for non-Japanese readers though.

    - The younger Haircut brothers's price is shown as 400 yen ingame, but only 300 yen is deducted (300 yen should be the right price, however.)

    Info ripped from HGSS wiki.

I guess these glitches will be fixed in the English version of HG/SS ? ( like what they did to DP )

Hopefully. Will also be incentive to buy the English version too :)
The change they made to sleep status in English DP was nearly enough, but huge bug fixes are more than enough.

Seems some glitches have returned since Platinum's first release in Japan. Though, this is something to expect. I'm sure most of this will be corrected in the English versions of the game. However, like mentioned some of these can be human errors such as a missed typo here or there.

This game already has a compiled glitch list?
    Dayum.
It usually happens to a lot of games. Actually, about now seems like a fair time for the list of collected glitches seeing as the remakes of Gold and Silver are almost a month old. I'm sure more will be found as time passes by, even some that are thought to be glitches, but are really not might come about.

Im really Jealous of all you. Its clear you can (for the most part) understand japanese. Unfortunetly, I can't so I still need to wait a whole year to get my hands on SS. Pokemon Silver was the first pokemon (infact, first game ever) that I have ever played, I really can't wait to play it again all remasterd like.

Or you could be like me and play the Japanese version with either of 2 options:
    A. Play and use walkthrough or your own ability
    OR (like I did)
    B. Rip the ROM from your game cart or download and apply an English patch to it so you can understand a lot of stuff.

Or you can do the normal way for all Japanese games.

#3) Play the game, blindly going through menus, battles, and 3 hours of text.

Anyway, I had a glitch, but I can't recreate it. Bad dump, deleted itself, crashed cartridge.

I don't know if it's just my R4 or the game, but... today, I put my DS in Sleep Mode (that's when you close it but don't shut it off, right?) and I had the Item Finder menu on. Plus I was in Cerulean City (which is kind of laggy for me). I left it like that for fifteen minutes or so, and when I came back, my game had frozen. D: I didn't even save! Grrr... I'm pretty sure it's just a problem with ROMs though (I even applied the English patch that prevents freezing!).

Which English patch is it? And what Anti-Piracy patch is it?
Kazowar's English 5.0 Patch and Rudolf Anti-Piracy patch is perfect.

That's really sad that the Japanese versions always have such erratic gaps in programming. For the most part the U.S. Versions don't suffer heavily from glitches, and they've gotten a lot better about it since the missingno and cloning glitches. But alas, it's nintendo. And if anyone can get away with letting crap slide and fixing it later, it's them.

Heh, I like glitches in Pokemon games.
Especially the one in Japanese R/S that allowed you to surf on land.
I haven't encountered any game cripppling ones in all my years of playing Pokemon.

Antipiracy stuff is... well, illegal discussion on these forums... so go direct it somwhere else.... XD

Haha, they're certainly good at that. But I don't mind the beneficial glitches, it is, as level. said, the glitches that screw up the game... that I don't like.

You'd think that GameFreak would have read about the "Acid Rain" bug and fixed it by now. Since it wasn't fixed between Platinum and HG/SS, I'm betting they don't care about that bug, so you can expect it in the English release as well.

    By the way, human errors like the text being switched in certain scenarios? They aren't "glitches", per se. :P For example, the younger haircut brother saying he charges 400 yen? That's no more than a typo. D;
If you really want to get anal about these things, you can also point out that people are using the term "glitch" where they should be using "bug". The two words have defined, seperate meanings, and I'm not going to go into length about it other than the fact that a glitch is a one-time thing, while a bug happens every time you do a certain procedure.

What exactly is the "Acid Rain" bug?
