hi everybody im new to all this forum and thread stuff. im also very confused on what threads are,forums,posts,and blogs. i did look at faq but that didnt help very much.so can one of you guys please explain it.

Welcome to PC! It's fine that you're confused, a lot of people are new to forums so everything is foreign to them. The good news is, it's pretty easy!
A post is this, what I'm writing right now. CycloneGU's post is above mine, and your post is above his. Each new block where a member says something is a post.
Threads are what the posts are in. This is a thread you've created that I'm posting in right now... it's a 'thread of posts', you might say. When you clicked into the New Users / Welcome section to make this thread, you would have seen a whole list of other topics. Each of those are threads, you click into them and make posts.
Blogs are something different entirely. Each member who has donated enough money to the site has a blog of their own and they make blog posts which other people can comment on. Blogs are generally not discussions, they're a personal thing that people can post to let others know what's going on with them.

Couldn't have said it better. xD But yes! Follow Raichu's advice and you'll pretty much be on your way! If you want a blog btw, you have to donate to PC ($10+/Tier 2+) reach 5,000 posts or win a contest that offers blogs as prizes :D Just so you know. :)
