Welcome to the Pokecommunity forums!
I, too, used to lurk before I joined. XD And I am sure that you'll be able to learn many new things about the different aspects of ROM hacking if you be here. PC is a really fantastic place that has some really talented ROM hackers. I'm sure that you'll be able to make a wonderful hack if you try hard. ;D
Apart from that, one important thing, you should read the rules and FAQ if you still haven't. They are something as important as.....say......the value of a diamond! XD
So, have fun around the forums! ;D
