What are good Pokemon to have as HM Slaves?

Lioone. They can learn Surf, Strength, Cut and Rock smash. Plus they pick up items from time to time.

Maybe it's not the best decision to make your starter a HM slave, but if you want to, you can give Cut, Flash, Strenght and Rock Smash to Sceptile.

No, I'm not planning on making my starter a HM Slave, I'm planning on having other pokemon who won't be in party, I'll just withdraw them when I need them.

Linoone, hm... I'll catch one of those. I read the Tropius is a good HM Slave too.

Linoone or Mightyena are both good as HM slaves, though I tend to spread the HM's across two or three pokemon, rather than keep to one. After all, surf and waterfall are both good water attacks as well as being HM's.

My HM salves: Azumarill has Surf, Strength, Dive, Waterfall. Skarmory has Fly, Rock SMash, Cut, and Secret Power (for kicks and giggles). PLus they provide an extra turn or two for revive, since I never level them up.

Yeah,Never teach HM's to Starters.

But Makuhita and Zigzagoon are great.

In my Ruby version it was Staryu and it had Surf, Waterfall, Dive and something else that I forgot.

Well gyarados and Tropius are good slaves gyarados can learn Surf,Strength,Dive,Waterfall and Rock Smash and Tropius can learn Fly,Cut,Strenght,Flash and Rock Smash.
