Seeing in ORAS, where you battle 5 grunts in same time really make things interesting battle. Do wish to battle 5 trainers in the future game like you could battle 5 youngsters at the same time? So what do you think if this will occur on next main series which you can battle 5 trainers at the same time.

When I first played ORAS, I wondered if there were going to be more than just grunts battling five on one. But the question is, if that was a thing, what kind of Pokémon is it likely that they would go with?

It would just be a bunch of low level Pokémon that you'd have to fight because otherwise it wouldn't be possible to do unless you grind insanely. I don't think it will or should happen consistently.

If the hoard battles had relatively moderately leveled Pokemon, sure. The battles we had in ORAS (there were two, weren't there?) were with Poocheyenas below level 20 >~< One Earthquake would kill them all! Unless it's a challenge or at least, a fight, there would be little to no point in it existing, besides the "whoa, cool, horde battles! New features, yay~" factor xD

It only really happens twice in OR/AS but I'd like it if there was one of those with pokémon that wouldn't die with one Surf/Earthquake/whatever. Maybe as an optional fight or something.

To be honest I think 5-on-1 battles would be more of a chore if they happened more frequently. However, I'd be fine with it if it was kept restricted to villain grunts/bosses, since it fits into the theme of being a villain quite well.

On the other hand, it was dreadful battling 5 grunts in ORAS at once when all they did was spam Sand-Attack. The event Beldum is the only reason my 3DS is still in one piece today. So maybe confine the number of stat-lowering moves to a certain number of opponents out of the 5 Pokemon to make it a bit more fair.
