    If you are going to pair the Hoenn region with another Pokemon region for a new game version, just like what they did with GS/HGSS, what would it be and why?

    I personally would love to pair it with the Kanto region together with the Sevii Islands so it will be more of an island hopping adventure. lol
     
    Even though D/P was my least favorite games, Sinnoh. The wintery, mountainous region serves as a good counterpart to Hoenn's tropical islands, and it means we could actually get the Arceus event and the Distorted World in 3D if possible.
     
    I'll pair it with the Sinnoh region. While the references to the Hoenn region in the Sinnoh games isn't as much as both the Johto and Kanto regions, their folklore and legendaries are able to compliment each others. For example Heatran and Mt. Chimney (strangely it was placed in Scorched Slab), RS's Southern Island layout resembles New Moon Island and Full Moon Island, Phione drifting in warm seas etc.

    As Gigadweeb said, the contrasting climate makes the whole thing interesting too.
     
    Sinnoh here as well.

    I have multiple reasons: Kanto is already connected to Johto (vice versa), Unova is very oddly shaped, and Kalos is... Well I don't want it to be Kalos xD. On top of that, Sinnoh is the only region that shares the berry trees and contests. If it were any other region I think they would contrast a bit too much for my liking. They as regions are very similar, so I find Sinnoh to be the best fit.

    i also think Sinnoh would complement Hoenn better, but i think Kalos would also be awesome because seeing my two favourite regions together would be BEST

    Totally Johto, makes sense since May/Brendan came from Johto before moving to Hoenn. So after their journey through Hoenn I think revisiting Johto wouldn't be so bad.
     
    I've got to say Kalos only because it seems the most plausible. Can you imagine the next game out was basically a Z/Emerald hybrid?
    Playing through the Kalos Region, going to Hoenn after (Like GSC and HGSS) AND having the battle frontier at the end? When I said it's the most "plausible" I still don't think it's very possible. I mean that's too much epicness for one game. One of those "Too good to be true" ideas!
