Hi, I'm Guardião. It means guardian in Portuguese, And you'll learn why I picked the name later on. Anyway, as you can tell, I'm new to this forum, so I'll give you a quick description of myself and my habits as well as my preferences, while playing the Pokemon Game. I've been told my pieces of writing can be boring, but then, what doesn't get boring from time to time? Boring can be good. Boring is usually safe, anyway.

I'm described by my teachers and friends as timid, quiet and reclusive, but clever and kind all the same. I'm usually afraid to talk to people, because I get worried that I'll say something stupid or weird and they'll look at me as I've just said "Hi, I just ate your PS3. So sorry." I don't mind conversing on forums, because I don't feel as embarrassed when I say something stupid. The few friends I do have are very loyal friends, and wouldn't do anything to hurt me no matter what.

I chose my Username because I consider myself a defensive expert plus I have a fascination towards the Portuguese culture. In any game I play, I go by a strict motto; Don't try and win, just try not to lose. It makes no sense when you say it like that, but to me it means don't try and defeat your opponent, becuase if you fail it leaves you open to counterattack. Just whittle them down slowly while keeping yourself nice and healthy. Any game I play I always end up building loads walls or towers, or in the case of Pokemon, choosing the ones with the best defenses and can last longest.

People have said my preferences in Pokemon are a bit girly, as my favourite Pokemon are Uxie and Cresslia, and in a sense, that is kind of true, but just because It has pink on it doesn't mean I can't use it. I'm a passionate believer in freedom of speech and equality, so I don't make judgments ont he appearance of things ever. I judge them by practicality and usefulness, or in the case of friends, not the most popular, but the most reliable and kind. The one thing I won't stand is when people condemn something before learning about it.

In the games, as I've already said, I use Pokemon with high defensive stats and try to beat my opponents by fighting smarter, not harder. My favourite Pokemon is Cresselia, but I also like Steelix, Skarmory, Dusknoir and many others. I don't lose battles very often, but they do take a very, very long time to resolve. In fact, many of the times I've battled my opponents have given in because they can't beat my Pokemon down and it gets so infuriating, as you could imagine. My longest battle was against my best friend, it lasted three hours and a toxic finally managed to get rid of his last Pokemon. Good thing too, My last Pokemon, a Steelix, was about to go down. But still, I won, he lost, and we had a good battle.

Well, that's it from me. Not the most descriptive essay ever, I know, but it's better than simply "Hi, I'm Guardião and I'm new here!", don't you agree? Anyway, I'm going to have a look around the forums and maybe make a few posts. thanks for your time, and I hope to see you around, so until then, Adeus!

This was actually a very interesting piece of writing. You've made a really wonderful intro there, my friend! =D

You know, there are really a lot of people like you. Even I feel that I fall in this category. I always feel as if I'm gonna say something stupid and make a fool out of me. Its a different thing on the forums for me too. xD And, even I have a lot of reliable and loyal friends(some are popular and some aren't).

As I can see, you always like the defensive part of anything. You prefer to be defensive rather than offensive. Its actually a good strategy that only some experts use. I can't say anything about myself here as I've never been engaged in competitive battling. But one thing's for sure, I always prefer being offensive rather than being defensive. But its my own style anyways.. xD

So, welcome to the Pokecommunity forums Guardião! Be sure to have a lot of fun around the forums! =D

NOTE: Be sure to read the rules and FAQ if you haven't. They're really important, you know. =)

....It's 10:43 PM, I'm too lazy to respond to all that, so I'll just do the old jingle:

"Welcome to the forums. Have yourself a great time, and be sure to follow the rules. If you have any questions not answered by the FAQ, feel free to ask :D"
